Depending on your tolerance, you can safely take quite a few without harming your liver, assuming no alcohol is involved. Last weekend I took 7 Tylenol 3's which contain 30mg codeine/300mg APAP and I was fine. Just don't go over 4000mg of APAP a day on a regular basis.

Hey! If a person doesn't have much of a tolerance, he can have quite a bit of fun with codeine while still keeping the APAP below toxic levels. Just b/c you have some massive tolerance and can't enjoy codeine anymore doesn't mean that everyone can't.

Like stated above you can take quite a few as long as no alcohol is involved. If your gonna be drinking even lightly then follow the cold water extraction method...
