only because most opiates with any ROA other than IV has a pretty long lasting high.

the crack of opiates is hydromorphone for sure.. good strong high with no legs.
haven't taken codeine since i was 12-13 so i really don't remember what it was like.. i unfortunately started on OC's methadone, dope and suboxone so my tolerance was too high. (not dick sizing)
so you could be right, but i just figure since it is a pro drug to morphine it would act as morphine after the change.

I know this is an old thread, but I have to agree with the OP, it's quite similar to coke/crack in an opiate kinda way. The high is short lived and moreish (albeit fairly subtle) and it even has a come down of sorts where I get irritable etc. Definitely a valid drug juxtaposition.
