Codeine questions.

First a good recreational dose. Second if i didnt have allergic reactions with other pain meds such as hydro and oxycodone do you think i will have any with codeine. Ive heard some creepy reaction stories and dont want anything to happen. Good day
 
I find 250mg to be the best.. If you are new or have no tolerance start with 120 or 180 (seeing that youve done hydro and oxy)..If you really haventdone either of those start with 90mg.
YOur pretty safe with the allergy thing.
 
i don't know man....i'd start a hell of a lot lower than that. you won't get high but it's always good to test.
allergy to codeine is actually pretty common and an allergic reaction is NOT something to take lightly
just be patient and take like 30mg and if you notice something "not right" and still feel the need to use this shitty drug, wait a day and try a LITTLE bit more
 
My friends and I usually dose between 300-400mg. It can't really be that euphoric lower than 300mg even if there is no opiate tolerance. Codiene is the only opiate that I and others develop extreme itching from. Anti-histamies do help but dont make them disappear. It really comes down to you, 380mg has had be itching like crazy for hours while I consumed 520mg on the weekend and only minor scratching.

What would be the effect of taking a couple of these. The instructions of course say 2 tablets every 6 hours with no more than 8 in 24hrs. I didn't find much info on the effect of Ibuprofen (at higher doses) though.

Ibuprofen is safe at least up to 800 mg, and is a lost less harmful than APAP in high doses, but the fun thing about Nurofen + is that they will split very neatly...codeine in one half, ibu in the other half. I think that the good half is the side with the N+ on it. Think hotdog bun. Just split it lengthwise b/tween your front teeth. Or, you could always just cold water it. These are convenient if you live in NZ (OTC)...also easy to get online.

The pills are white and have a 3 on them. My guess is that there are 30mg of codeine.

Sorry, but what are you talking about? Nurofen are white, have a N+ on them and contain 12.8mg of codeine???
Grand Master of Somniferon, can you confirm that the codeine is contained in one half and that it is the half that contains the N+. Also excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by "Or, you could always just cold water it"

Whoa, most of the doses people recommended are WAY too high to start at.
Start at 60-90 mg for a newbie. You can always take more (though wait 1.5 hrs after taking it before deciding to take more), but if you take too much you there is NOTHING you can do...and you don't want to end up sick and itchy as fuck or worse yet passed out.
When first trying a drug, it is always wise to start with a low dose.
After you've become more experienced with the drug, a good recreational dose is probably around 60-120 mg. There is a good deal of variation from person to person because how much codeine affects a particular person depends on the activity of that person's enzymes (and there is substantial variation from person to person in enzyme activity).
You do NOT want to OD on codeine b/c in addition to the risk of respiratory failure (that is possible with all opiates at high doses), there is also the risk of convulsions (not fun!).
If you are not allergic to other opiates, it is very unlikely (but not impossible) that you are allergic to codeine.

I'm afraid that I can't give you any reputable sources to verify this, but if you do a search in the groups.google.com alt.drugs.hard archives, you will find extensive discussion. Also, assuming you have access to these (in all reality, anyone w/internet access, a credit card, and a shred of intelligence has access to these.), split a couple lengthwise w/your teeth or whatever.(they should split fairly neatly, like the 2 halves were glued together...remember; Think hotdog bun.) and chew up the top half, noting the bitter opiate taste, wait a few minutes to cleanse the pallet, then chew up the bottom half, noting the bland, yet somewhat tangy ibuprofen taste. Somewhere I read that ibu and codeine don't mix, so they hafta seperate them. Don't know how much truth there is to that, but in all my experience with these, it does seem to be a fact. Oh, and "cold watering it" is a reference to the cold-water extraction method, which if you are not familiar with, is a common method of seperating the opioids in combo pills from the other crap. This can be found discussed at length in the archives, or coldwaterworld.com

Well many pills were consumed and the conclusion to my question is to take these pills and put them in a toilet and shit on them.

well, i wouldn't give up yet. . . Codeine while not REALLY powerful by itself it adds a LOT if you smoke some weed. I just took 5 tylenol 4's (5*60mg = 300mg of codeine) and smoked ONE bowl of medium grade weed 30 minutes later so i would climax on both of the drugs at the same time. It really is an incredible mix, they work very well together. now I have a high natural tolerance so i wouldn't give up just raise the dose in 50 (0r so ) mg increments.
