Heroin Codeine Phospate assisted Heroin Withdrawal; dosage/taper question

Hello everyone. I started using again after a year and a half of clean time; have been using for 1.5 months. I use about 2-3x bags of base Heroin (Brown Heroin). I started dabbling again with chasing then I kept on using via intra-nasal route. I'm at least happy that I didn't start mainlining Heroin & Cocaine/Crack (speedballing) again.
I have to stop using again as soon as possible before I burry myself deeper under this shit. Since I can get OTC Codeine here, I thought that I could do a Codeine assisted withdrawal. I used the search engine but couldn't really found what I was looking for.
So, I would really appreciate your help if you could give me an idea about how much Codeine I should start with and how you would go ahead with tapering (how much Codeine do I cut from my total amount everyday, how often do I dose during the day?)

(Please let's not loose time by dwelling on how stupid it was for me to use again because every criticism that one could make about my actions, I did all of them plus more about my actions already. Thanks one more time.)

I am on week 4 of a Dihydrocodiene detox. But I've decided to call it quits half way through.

You have to take so much of the bloody stuff, and it doesnt hold you properly, its worth calling it a day early imo.

Go to the doctor mate. Mine gave me a full on script for 56 DHC a week, then 49, then 42 etc, going right down to 7. My schedule was like this:

Wk 1 : 8 X 40mg DHC daily
Wk 2: 7 X 40mg DHC daily
Wk 3: 6 X 40mg DHC daily
Wk 4: 5 X 40mg DHC daily
Wk 5: 4 X 40mg DHC daily
Wk 6: 3 X 40mg DHC daily
Wk 7: 2 X 40mg DHC daily
Wk 8: 1 X 40mg DHC daily

Wk 9: 7 X 7.5mg Zopiclone

I am at week 4. But This morning I havent taken my dose and decided to go cold turkey from now. I'm sure cold turkye from only 200mg DHC a day wont be too bad, but I've been a bit naughty since I moved onto the short acting opiates if u know what I mean..

Ideally get some Lofexidine and some strong Benzos for when the eventual 'cold turkey' day comes mate.

Since you havent got such a bad habit. well i mean it hasnt been going on that long. I would just do a really short taper.

Like a week.

I'm gonna use DHC, but I think you just need to divide by 2 to make it codiene:


These are days:

1 - 240mg DHC
2 - 200mg DHC
3 - 160mg DHC
4 - 120mg DHC
5 - 80mg DHC
6 - 40mg DHC
7 - 0 (Feeling shitty)
8 - 0 (Feeling shitty)
9 - 0 (Be feeling ok-ish a bit shitty)
10 - 0 (Should be feeling OK by now)

So what about the Codeine (I found some Codeine Phosphate 30mg pills\ if I want Dihydrocodeine, I have to CWE); how much should I take when I'm starting and how much should I taper everyday? Finally, how many times a day is it better to dose during the day? Thanks.

It is better to slowly make the length of time between doses longer as the days go by. So theoreically if you were doing a long taper you could go down from 8 tmes a day to once a day, slowly, with minimul discomfort.

How much codeiene have you got? How many days do you want to do your taper (I suggest 7 - 10).

P.S. Also earlier when I said divide by 2 for dhc - cod i actually mean double it, not half it!

I have 1800mgs of Codeine; I would like to get done with it without suffering too much (because I have a construction company where I don't just run it, I work like the other employees also so heavy kind of workload) so 7 days seem good to me.
In NYC, I used to go to a hospital for Methadone detox, they used to start everybody from 40-50mg and stop it in 5-7 days (which professionals in UK find ridiculously rapid) but Codeine is such a short acting Opiate plus it has a ceiling, I really get uneasy about detoxing with it.

Codeine has a ceiling dose in most people of 400mg. That might not be enough for you to get through WD.

Go with the dihydrocodeine if you can. No ceiling dose and it should be OTC in the UK.

Also, how much is in a bag? That would be helpful information to us non-UK users.
