hello, I had a couple questions about codeine use. I ground up about 40 acc tablets which is roughly 320 mg of codeine minus whatever amount was lost in the cwe. I threw up because the codeine solution tastes so bad but I am hoping that I still retained most of the codeine (only barfed by the last sip). I took 2 clonazepam as I think I saw that benzos potentiate opiates even weak ones like codeine. I have worried for a while that I am one of the unlocky 7-10 percent that cannot convert it to morphine. but with the combination i described I feel ver content and relazed. I am also getting that lovely opiate itch. Since I experience that effect of it, can anyone assure me that I can properly metabolize and convert codeine. I hate to think that I only get a placebo effect for that reason so some reassurance would be great. Codeine is a cheap and fairly easy to access opiate and I have regular access to benzos like clonazepam and lorazepam (lorazepam sucks though). thanks and i apologize if none of this makes sense, I'm a bit lucid right now and chilling out to relaxing music. thanks

If you feel content and relaxed, as well as getting that lovely opiate itch and warmth as you said, then you probably aren't one of the unlucky 7% that can't convert it. When you threw up, of course some of it probably was lost in the toilet. I've found with codeine, that for me anyway, it takes me around 150-200mg to feel the warmth and contentment I'm after. But the shit only lasts a couple hours. I'll say this again, that I think Tramadol is a very underrated medicine. It's very similar, if not better than codeine, in my opinion, because you not only get that opiate feeling, but also gain a gigantic mood lift and relief of some anxiety due to its serotonin affect. And it lasts a hell of alot longer than codeine, and doctors will throw it at you basically because it's not yet scheduled, which I promise you, it soon will be. But back to the subject at hand, I too take Klonopin, and find it goes well with my opiates, especially tramadol and bupe. And I totally 100% agree with you on the notion of lorazepam being completely worthless in the realm of benzodiazepines. Even when the hospital would give me a couple cc's of ativan, I still felt no relief from my anxiety. Good luck and I'm glad you found an opiate, codeine, that you enjoy and that works for you.

Sounds like your not in the unlucky 10% judging by the spelling in your post!!!
Spew into a cup next time so you can re-dose =D
Or mix in some cordial!
Benzos + Opiates are notorious for causing OD's. If you must combine, keep both doses lower than you would if you were having them separately and have someone around to check in on you.
