Cocaine taste correlated with nausea?

Let me start it off by saying that my experience with most other drugs overshadows my personal knowledge about cocaine. For the last three years I've limited my coke useage to no more than 3 times per year -- always a staple of NYE. This year I've strayed from my usual pattern and have indulged much much more. But honestly, I still don't think I know shit about yay.
The coke that I've tried has had two different tastes. One being the (what I assume) to be the normal coke taste. The other coke has had this bizarre taste that can be compared to nail polish remover. I think this is acetone used in the cutting/rerocking process. Anybody feel free to correct me about anything that is wrong. The last stuff that I purchased had the nail polish taste. This stuff really did a hurtin' to my stomach. The stuff before that (which is probably the best blow I've ever done) did not have the nail polish taste/smell to it and didn't give me the stomach ache.
In all reality, this could all be in my head. Or there could be other factors such as environmental(nasty hot dorm room) or maybe because I'm one of those druggies who tends to like to mix coke with alcohol or OC or both.
So what's your take on this? I know a lot of you are coke freaks and your input would be wonderful. Help to inform a fellow BLer. I'll try to do as much self-experimentation as possible to further ejumacate myself. Too bad the shit is so expensive for a heterosexual male like myself.
and save the comments like 'Do meth instead', cuz I would if it were available to me.
Peace out and Happy 4/21

I haven't really ever suffered from nausea, BUT I have found that I am able to do much more cocaine, with fewer side effects (headache, yucky stomach feeling (though not really 'nausea'), when it is the 'normal cocaine' and not the 'acetony cocaine'.
There is definitely a difference between the two kinds of cocaine. I'm not sure which solvent is the kind used for 'acetony cocaine' (and I've also had different kinds of yucky cocaine as a result of different kinds of solvents), but I agree that is is distinctly different from cocaine that is abosolutely free of residue/yucky aftertaste. Now if only all cocaine was like this...

Get your coke from bikers...I'm not joking..the only time I will touch coke is when it comes from a biker..i.e. Hells Angel, Sons of Silence so and and so forth those guys have like the best uncut shit ever..and coke should never taste bad..that means its been steped on...

Cutting and re-rocking doesn't use any such solvents as acetone - when done correctly, cutting and rerocking will use no fluids at all, if anything, some water might be used to dampen it..
The differnt tastes will often refer to the base used when converting from cocaine base to the HCl salt - I wish I could explain better but there are multiple ways of making it, I have an article on it I can post but it's written for an audience thats well versed in chemistry ..

Could you please post the article or even e-mail it to me, I would like to read it.
I know that acetone is used in between the conversion of coca base to cocaine hcl, I would just like to have a better understanding of how weak to seemingly strong traces exist in different batches. Does it efect potency? and is there a well known way to loose that acetoney property without cutting or destroying the coke?

Another supporter for the posting of the article.
The worst thing that can happen is that people won't read it.
The best thing that can happen is that those who understand it will gain knowledge and those who don't will find motivation to increase their scientific reading level.
Post it!

I have heard of SMALL amounts of acetone used in rerocking but have never seen it. Seems unnecessary.
I've seen it both ways many times and, with the assumption we are talking about unretouched cocaine, this is my take on the differences in the acetone smell.
Like any product, cocaine can be made quickly without regards to quality or can be done right with a little extra effort.
In the final steps the coca base is desolved in acteone before acidifing. Once converted to acid it precipitates out of the acetone/ acid solution and is filtered out through a cloth and pressed or "wrung out." At this point there is still much acetone left and if it let out to dry, or placed under heat lamps, much of the acetone will evaporate out leaving a much harder, drier, and cleaner smelling finished product. If it is instead very soon packaged up and made ready to ship the acteone does not get time to evaporate off leaving a poorer, smeller finsihed product.
In my opinion.

The cartels are running a multibilliondollar industry. If they started cranking out shitty coke at the source, no international smuggler would waste their time/money/risk running a clearly inferior product. This and all problems with cut happen at at or near the street level with low-level idiots getting greedy or just being stupid. Though your analysis of the production chemistry seems correct (to me), screwing up their source of revenue just doesn't seem like something a cartel would do.

In refering to the quality of manufacture, I am not refering so much to strength as I am to texture , odor, and taste.
Although I find the cleaner cocaine to be somewhat stronger, it is not a significant difference and most would consider either, If uncut, to be very good.
So, I am not talking about "shitty" cocaine, but rather the difference between B+ and A+ quality.
