I used to not like coke very much because people told me the effects of it and when I had tried it, I didn't get the effects I thought I was going to get, just the drip. After watching Goodfellows I decided to give it another try and I liked it a lot even though it was different than what everyone descibed. The reason why I liked it so much was because it loosened the tongue. I was able to talk to people easier and I didn't have the problem of thinking what I was going to say before I said it. I spoke what I felt and it was the right thing to say in my mind. It just made talking to people easier. I'm still not a big fan because it costs so damn much, but my question is; what does it do to you that allows you to talk more freely and what can I do to get that feeling without coke?

heh, what you see as a good side of coke i see as the evil side... i can't stand it when i'm surrouned by a much of coke heads (meth is worse) and they just babble and babble on and on... yeah, that doesn't answer your question, sorry, but just had to get that out...

I could see what your saying, but I dont do coke the way some people. I have a little snort spoon or a bullet and I take a couple of bumps in each nose. I'm good for a while after that. Some people rail out big lines, get all numb, and act all thwacked out. I dont do that because I dont like meth at all(taking a lot brings you up like meth and it's harder to act normal). Also it costs so damn much. Taking a couple of bumps every 30-40min makes it last a lot longer and I still get the effect that I want. The plus to that is that I can still act like someone not on drugs except I can talk more freely.

Why did you label this as urgent?
The short answer to your questions is that coke is releasing dopamine (among other things), which is increasing your feelings of well-being and confidence, which makes you feel good about talking.
Can you get this feeling without coke? I doubt it. Trying combining it with alcohol to get more bang for your buck, or injecting to *really* get that feeling. But if you're just into doing small amounts and not getting too high, good for you--couldn't hurt to stay that way.

it's urgent because I really wanted to know and no one answered when I posted before. I really wish there was something else that I could do to get that feeling without spending so much. Anybody? Please!

Have you tried speed?
I'm not 100% certain but I believe it also affects dopamine levels obviously not to the same extent.
I know quite a few people who do coke and they all snort speed when the can't afford coke.
It does burn a little more than coke though.
I've never done coke so I can't really comment on what is similar. This is just what I know from people talking to me about coke.

The anti-depressant Wellbutrin (prevents dopamine reuptake, but works more on noradrenaline) seemed to do the trick for me. When I first started it (2 years ago), I had about a week of smoothness that was not unlike perpetual coke enthusiasm. (Read: enthusiasm, it does not make you "high") I hadn't done coke before that, so I couldn't make the comparison. After that week I kind of leveled out and it helped me, but at this point, I've developed a tolerance and missing doses can be problematic. Although I used to have second thoughts about this kind of thing, I've come to the conclusion that I will be on antidepressants for a long time, and that doesn't bother me. (Some people, maybe you, might not like that idea.)
If depression or social anxiety is your diagnosis, this or other antidepressants might help you. Depression (clinical) can manifest itself in many ways -- not just "feeling down". When I get depressed, my mood is usually okay, I just have trouble reading and paying attention. (So maybe it's ADD, but my doctor won't give me amps cuz they know I like drugs.)
See a psychiatrist if you have the resources (you have enough to afford coke...) You should probably stop doing coke until you find an antidepressant that works (if you decide to give this route a try), but after you got everything settled, go nuts.

There is no way to feel high all the time (unless you ARE high all the time). That's kinda the thing that sucks about reality.
I agree that meth will also give you these feelings of confidence and sociability, and it will probably do so better than cocaine.
But if you really want to deal with your problems (anxiety, shyness, confidence etc...), you'll need to look into therapy and medication (antidepressants and anti-anxiety drugs).
Wellbutrin could help. I'd STRONGLY recommend the selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, reboxetine, but it isn't available in this country yet. Duloxetine is another drug similar to reboxetine that just came out in this country, though I'm not sure how readily available it is.
