My sister just got from a trip to Bolivia and brought me like half a kilo of coca leaves, I'm chewing them right now, a handful with sodium bicarbonate and a few drops of lemon.....I just smoked some dank but I'm feeling a caffeine-like buzzz, maybe placebo.....who knows? Anyway she told me up there they made big biz with the americans and europeans who wente for the COCAINE not the COCA, and these were people taking a sabbatical or with 2months hoolidays, backpackers etc, she told me not the average cokehead in anyway and for [edit - price] they bought5 to 10 grams of extremely good shit she said and were up all day, she went to other places andonly does coke ocassionaklly and her fiancee is very anti-drug, though he knows I'm a stoner and he's cool with that.
Anyway what I wanted to say it's more tghe demographics surrounding the coke, down here in the Capital cities or big cities coke is very cheap but also all it's trade it's controlled by peruvian mafias which are in cahoots with the cops thanks to bribery....apparently in the coca growing areas of northern Argentina my sister told me people were poor as fuck, some of them did coke, and you could walk out with your camera and iphone, and count money on the streets since there was no crime associated with it.
Old aborigins in stalls on the streets, and shady locals alike both offer the leaves for around [edit] for 250-500gr and cocaine for around [edit] per gram depending on how good it is and how much they want to rip you off...remember this is a production site where she just came from....but it's interesting something that's so natural >(though dollars are big money up there) and seen as no big deal in production zones in South America brings the Urban Decay it does in most of the western world were prices are crazy and cocaine is seen in a total different light, being demonized and glamorized at the same time......it's such a difficult issue, I'd say it's way worse than opioids, th whom I'm addicted, at least I have a script for Naltrexone and I'm starting Bupe manteinance on march, but with coke there's no antagonist-manteinance-etc and no matter the quality the cardiotoxicity and neurotoxicity is there, and is huge. Yeah we know that, and if I decide to buy me some coke (I still have 2-3grs left from the other day) it's my fault and I'm no innocent victim, I knoiw where the money goes to, I know how I'll feel etc....but sometimes when you're on opies all day and have 24-7 access to cheap but good coke you say fuck it... yeah I'm harming myself, hence why I research, I administered myself and others Cocaine of all sort of qualities and sources in all possible manners (IV,Rectal,Made crack with ammonni and with baking soda, etc), and always tried to teach coke users to not use bills, don't share straws, talked about Hep. C., Cardiotoxicity,etc.....stulll they and I chose and choose (now once in a blue moon compared to the old days of colombian transparent crystals) to do it anyway.....darwin awards nominates? well maybe for you and some close minded fucks.....and yeah in America it's completely different, I coped coke in California and New York and it was ANOTHER THING, and I only bothered cause I was buying heroin and was offered the shit and already copping, but let me tell you the stuff I got in new york was pretty good! this was circa 2005.....down here in Argentina there are coke kitchens as there are Meth Super labs in Mexico...and well most of the shit goes to Europe, you Americans get the colombian shit.....the microgram bulletin is a great resource to see what kind of coke is coming into the states.
