Cocaine, baking soda, water, and heat...right?

I have a quick question... When making actual crack, do you still need to put the baking soda mixed w the cocaine, in water, and heat it up? Thts where im confused. I would say after thinking about it tht, once the oil is seperated from the soda, tht would be the moment when you'd put the ammonia in it. And then im told tht it instantly hardens. Am i right? Is this true about it instantly hardening?

I dunno, man. I've never had to re-rock. I've heard you can just use the larger rocks as they are when you get them from your dealer. I hate powder, so every time I re-up, I get a chunk. I could be wrong. I've definitely never even considered smoking it. IVing, maybe. But never ever crack.
