cocaine + alcohol then later xanax-- safe?

background:: gonna go to casinos with some friends, drink and do some cocaine. I wanted to do some xanax before going to bed to help me sleep / help with comedown.

friend and i were arguing about this topic. I say that if you were drinking and doing a bit of cocaine during the night then an hour or two later after you stop doing cocaine (to relieve the comedown) one can take some xanax (1 or 2mg)and go to bed. However my friend was saying mixing the 3 will surly cause a hospitalize you, put you in a coma or kill you.

does anyone have any insight on this?

Hello and welcome to bluelight!

Well, first of all I am going to point out that mixing alcohol and benzos are not a safe combination.
That being said, I can't honestly say "the three will surely hospitalize you or kill you/ coma" because I've done it many times. Using benzos is common to come down from coke, and drinking while on coke is also extremely common/ the norm. As long as you're not completely shitfaced and keep the benzo doseage low enough you should be okay. If you're so drunk that you can't walk straight and the only thing keeping you awake is the caine, just wait for that to wear off and you should fall asleep from the booze alone anyway.

If you go have some drinks, stay reasonably sober (I.E. don't get fucking hammered...) and then a couple of hours later eat 1 mg of xanax you'll be alright. Just be smart, if you're really drunk don't take the benzos, and if you do take them don't eat a handful. May even want to start with .5mg and if that doesn't do something for you take more after a little while. Waiting and being cautious can't hurt.

Right. Benzos are very common as landing gear for cocaine. As Recky said though mixing drugs, especially two depressants can be really dangerous. It's always wise to have experience with both or all drugs and use much less of each. One safe motto would be that you can always take more but never less.
