So 7 days ago I was assaulted by 2 much older drunk people at the same time . There was no one to defend me and I suffered a concussion, broken nose and an epidural hematoma (hemhorrage between the brain case and skull for those who dont know) . It was able to be brought under control with anti-inflammatory drugs through my IV and surgery wasnt needed . A week later now, I have been feeling normal once the bleeding was brought under control .

There is a big event tonight with lots and lots of cocaine, I am asking anyone with some actual specific knowledge regarding cocaines effects on the brain case and lining if it would be safe for me to indulge ? (sparingly, of course !)

I know with the vasoconstriction it may slow the healing somewhat, I am more concerned with any possible permanent effects.

On a side note, adulterants like levamisole or lidocaine need not be taken into account as everything i use is tested with multiple kits .

Thank you

I'd say your bloodvessels are still healing and it would be pretty irresponsible to expose yourself to sudden attacks of high blood pressure like snorting coke probably causes. But I'm not a medical expert.

or you just have a stroke and live another 30 years in a prison of a body unable to wipe your ass/speak any words at all/ constant extreme neuropathic pain. its a fate worse than death to be a giant baby in a hospital bed trapped inside a body that wont work yet you could be very compos mentis

you had a bleed on the brain and now want to take a drug linked to both haemorrhage and ischemic stroke risk increase.

seriously this is a fucking terrible idea dont do it with a capital D

If you are 7 days out from an epidural hematoma, the risk of re-bleeding is small. Usually, acutely after an intracranial hemorrhage, the patient is kept relatively hypotensive (systolic < 150) for 48 hours or so, until the hemorrhage is documented to be stable.

That being said, at 7 days out, there still is a small chance that you may re-bleed, and with the blood pressure spike caused by cocaine, you could dramatically increase this risk, thus probably not worth the risk. The usual culprit artery that bleeds is the middle meningeal artery, and its acute bleeding can cause rapid neurological decline or death pretty fast, due to its tendency to be located over the temporal lobe, causing the temporal lobe to push against the brainstem (uncal herniation).

Also, epidural hematoma and general concussions increase your risk of post-traumatic seizures for the first 7 days. This risk is not as high as with subdural hematomas, but the risk is there. Taking a drug that can lower the seizure threshold may increase this risk.

I just realized I forgot to thank everybody for their responses especially zebrafish . Thanks again guys
