Coca Liquor losing potency; Cocaethyelene in rum (UTSE incl. google); Methanol concer

I made a small amount of coca liquor, and had a powerful, almost uncomfortable experience on it. I know how toxic cocaethylene is, but I'm wondering how much methanol is created in the porcess ( read that methanol is a metabolite of the breakdown of coca leaves by hydrolises. Any chemists tested coca liquor and have an answer? Totally obscure, long shot question I know.

About 10% by weight of cocaine is converted to methanol if it is completely hydrolysed. It's not a concern given that you'd be far more fucked up from the cocaine than the methanol at the kind of doses where methanol becomes a problem.

Thank you Sekio, for confirming my suspicion. : D The Tequila wash was way better then the rum wash a week later.

Looks like UV vodka or something with a more neutral Ph is better then rum.

Acid or basic pH catalyses the destruction of cocaine, so yes, neutral is best.
