Clozapine withdrawal.

I've been in a situation like that with haloperidol

I reduced my dose by 20% due to side effects but this caused withdrawal symptoms. Insomnia, anxiety, paranoia, and later hallucinations

Long story short the remaining dose I was on was yanked by my psychiatrist along with pregabalin and basically every med I was on which made everything so much worse I spent 2 days in the ICU

I drank very heavily and sustained multiple injuries due to repeated falls

I was in antipsychotic withdrawal for a good 3 months before being put on Loxapine in hospital

Luckily you don't need to wait that long
Oh my goodness, loxapine is extremely powerful. When I was on loxapine a few years ago, i took 250 mg of Dexedrine and was able to enjoy it. The scary part is, without loxapine that amount would make someone in severe psychosis.

How much loxapine? Like all antipsychotics, it dose dependently reduces the effects of dextroamphetamine as well as other CNS stimulants.

This is disgusting. My doctor is tapering me off of clozapine. My dose went from 250mg down to 225mg. It’s been about a week, and today I woke up so depressed. A little google search about clozapine withdrawal depression as well as feeling suicidal were brought up. I hate this, it reminds me of coming off of Invega and feeling similar.
