I have experimented with different benzos over the past several years. I often find that many questions posted about clonazepam are many times quickly flooded with comments that is is not recreation, a poor benzo, etc.

Xanax has such a great rep, but from my experience as well as others I know I found it not pleasent at all, in fact in actually made me edgy. Lorazepam was ok for me, but too short acting. I'll agree with many Valium is prolly the best overall but getting scripts for is getting genuinley harder foe whatever reason.

I am not trying to rant, as we all know every drug effects us all differently. I just don't understand why clonazepam get's little respect here, and I fear that those who are quick to say they are useless recreational, should note perhaps for THEM it's not what they are looking for. I hate to see people who are asking questions and/or need serious advice, jump to a smorgasbord of trying other benzos perhaps in much larger doeses than necessary.

I would like to add that all of the above scripts mentioned were prescribed by doctors. I use clonazepam as needed and recreationally. I think the difference with k-pins is a lower dose is actually more pleasant and effective than swallowing a handful. I know there are others who would choose clonazepam I just wonder why it seems so unpopular here. I am quite aware that many people simply don't get a kick out of benzos, this is for those like myself that do.

I would love to hear if anybody has had similar experiences?

I find benzos just interfere with functioning too much to be practical. I can be on 30mg of meth and get a lot of work done... not so much with 5mg of k-pins...

Now 1-2mg if I've got really bad anxiety, but much above that I get the derps

Ironic you say that because I was just thinking about getting stuff done. I have add and take vyvance, and indeed it helps me think more clearly and get things done. Also I have noticed that opiates such as hydro motivate me to get things done. It's weird how different chemicals affect us all so differently. Most people I know on opiates tend to kinda tune out, but I find it recreational moderate doses I am just as motivated if not more than any amphetamine. Of course I will eventually nod out in the later stages as the hours pass, especially as I attempt to re-dose.

Benzo's have a paradoxical reaction in me, they actually give me energy and can increase my heart rate and make me a little manic. Some people do have these reactions to bnezo's. I also guess the relief of anxiety makes me more happy and more talkative/confident in myself and therefore leads to more action.

I get rxed 30 10mg valiums a month. My bf gets 75 2mgs of klonopin/month. I used to take xanax to really get wasted(10 bars) but my bf gets really pissed so I had to stop that. So now I won't even take xaxax. I feel like Im not acting fu**ed up but iam. Bigtime.

Yeah, that's the answer right there.

To elaborate, though, clonazepam is a very powerful substance. Anything that has pronounced anti-convulsant properties is going to affect your brain in a big way. You're right that less is more, and this is a useful substance when taken therapeutically.

It really shouldn't be taken for recreation. It knocks your brain around. You use it for a while and then stop.... see what happens. Fucking unbelievable withdrawals like nothing I've experienced before. Imagine an MXE trip gone bad combined with the pysical aspects of opiate withdrawal, and this occurs over weeks or months in a non-linear fashion.

You wake up one day and feel like "Thank God, it's finally over", then the next day you're back in the shit. This can go on for what seems like an eternity and drive you insane. That's why there's hate for clonaz. Just my opinion.

The hate comes from people abusing it and suffering the fallout. That's what I did. Lesson learned. School of hard knocks. Hard, hard knocks.

Strange, I quit it cold turkey after a few months up to around 5mg/day and didn't notice any withdrawals. I was on carbamazepine at the time though. Again on the effecting everyone differently...

Holy crap... five months at up to 5mg a day and no WDs?!

I gotta look into this carbamazepine right now!!

I must say that Clonazepam is my favourite. I have tried to test different benzos from a to z, to understand which one works best for me. It's definitley Clonazepam. Why?

I was taking for a while Alprazolam (Xanax) regularly, for me it was really bad period, I was always afraid when the anxiety kicks in, or worse - panic attacks. Alprazolam gave me instant relief, but I was really worried all the time. Also, as I took more than doctor wanted me to prescribe, I had to count the pills everyday to survive another day. Also, I had bad sleeping issues, but they disapparead after I switched to Clonazepam.
Finally, I started another SSRI treatment with Clonazepam and I must say, it has worked wonders! Anxiety and panic attacks are basically gone. I've been taking Clonazepam now for about 6 months, the dosage has not changed, 2-4mg per day, usually once per day. I have had rarely anxiety and panic attacks, the only problem with this drug is that it does not give you instant relief like Alprazolam, it takes time.

People consider Valium the best? A hard benzo to be prescribed? News to me....
I ALWAYS saw the potential in Clonazepam, never wasted a pill more than needed, it is recreational in my opinion, slow build up may counter that in some people. Alprazolam's immediate action is a love or hate... in my opinion it is pretty useless as a going-out benzo, but takes less planning when you're in a party or something.

Well I have read many reports that most claim Valium is the best recreational benzo. I know I'd take it if I could get it. Maybe it's just the doctors I've seen, but most seem reluctant to rx it. Of course I don't know besides based on my own experiences and reports I've read. Some docs my give it out liberally, but I personally haven't heard anybody who likes benzos knock Valium.

I also think those of us that like clonazepam might like it for the opposite reason xanax users loath it. It takes a longer time to really kick in, last a hella lot longer of course, and the "comedown" if you wanna call it that is very gradual and smooth. I luckily have yet to experience benzo withdrawal. I also drink a lot so that may keep it at bay in between.

I know I do like Clonazepam for that reason, its smoother build up sure helps give myself some credit... :)
I have a lot of Vallies at my disposal but I steer clear of the drug because of its extreme half life. I used to be a fiend for it and LOVED the feeling of 20 mg on an empty stomach but damn... 200 hours? Just not worth it for me...

Diazepam has never worked on me, I find it good only to cure hang overs, otherwise, quite useless.

It's actually quite weird to read that people take benzos to get high. I started out like this aswell, my first boxes were not quite prescribed by a doctor. Alprazolam gave me nice warm feeling, but it was just in the beginning. Even I did not take on daily basis, the effect wore off. And it has not returned, does not matter how much I take or which benzo I take, will never probably feel any nice effects.
Now I just take them to cope with my life. And as a mentioned above, Clonazepam + SSRI does wonders for me. Eventhough I'm dependent on those pills, I live much richer live than before.

I use to love clonaz when I was younger and smoked a ton of weed. Also it made school go by in a jiffy. Now I would much rather diaz or alpraz, even lorazepam is preferred. Clonac gives me an empty feeling in my stomach that is irritating and has the worst amnesia symptoms, which I find no benefit from at this point. I think with apraz and diaz I have everything I need. I'd prefer diaz because it last longer and IMO it hits harder. Xanax doesn't hit my like many say, still quicker than clonaz but its not like it his you out of nowhere, its gradual for me. OTOH the diaz hits me hard, even small doses like <15 mg,
