While i rarely dabble in benzos over the past couple days I've come into a few klonopin. anyway my question regards the rather sizeable 18-50 hour half life. how profound is this?by that i mean, if i were for instance going to consider taking 20mg of oxy the day after having taken say 1-2mg of the clonazepam would i be taking a reasonable risk? or does the half life generally dissipate closer to the 18 hour mark, becoming longer at larger doses? sorry i know this all sounds quite lame but i really do know shit all in the area of benzodiazepines...obviously... any input would be greatly appreciated. cheers.

there are noticeable, but only slight effects lingering into the next day. sedation, anxiolytic relief, ect... you might not even notice or 'feel' the klonopin affecting you because clonazepam is subtle.

to answer your question though, you are probably are at no risk of respiratory depression. have fun, and don't drive.

Klonopin has a duration between 8-12 hours, half life ranging 50-200hours. It's the longest acting benzo, and just as strong as xanax MG to MG. You certainly may feel the effects of klonopin all the way until the next evening, sometimes i can skip a day because i feel the duration carry over following day. i usually notice when time goes by a lot faster and my legs get real wobbly nd relaxed.

Please check your facts before you give out misinformation like that, it is most certainly not the longest acting benzo

Clonazepam = 0.5 mg (anxiolytic/anticonvulsant; onset/time to peak: 1-4 hrs; 18-50 hr half life)

These benzos are just a few that are longer acting;

Clorazepate = 15 mg (anxiolytic/anticonvulsant; onset/time to peak: variable; 36-100 hr half life)

Delorazepam = 1 mg (anxiolytic; onset/time to peak: 1-2 hrs; 60-140 hr half life)

Flurazepam = 25 mg (hypnotic; onset/time to peak: 1-1.5 hrs; 40-250 hr half life)

Flutoprazepam = 2 mg (hypnotic; onset/time to peak: 0.5-9 hrs; 60-90 hr half life)

Medazepam = 10 mg (anxiolytic; onset/time to peak: 2-6 hrs; 36-200 hr half life)

Phenazepam = 1 mg (anxiolytic/anticonvulsant; onset/time to peak: 1.5-4 hrs; 60 hr half life)

I think you were most llikely thinking of diazepam when you make you post as it has the following properties;

Diazepam 10 mg (anxiolytic/anticonvulsant/muscle relaxant; onset/time to peak: 1-1.5 hrs; 20-100 hrs [36-200 hrs])

I think that this thread has been sufficiently answered, the OP seems happy with the answers and I don't think there can be much more gained from keeping this open.

Am going to close the thread now but please feel free to carry on the disccusion in the BDD Social and Information Booth v3

If you have any problems with my closing of the thread or think that it should be reopened then shoot me a PM

Mugz :)
