First...a little explanation. I'm going to school in rural Massachussetts right now, and my boi is back home in Chicago. I miss him sooo much because I only get to see him once every month to month and 1/2
. Well, besides that, all you need to know is that he LOVES cold weather (anything where a hoodie is neccesary) and I hate it (info for last part of poem). Please give me feedback on this, it's pretty new!

------------------
The city of snow is further away
than I have ever known it to be-
memories sewn inside me.
Sometimes I sit in the fields
wheat and insects
grazing the nape of my neck.
I believe sometimes
that the fireflies are burning streetlamps
or car headlights in the thick of the night.
Then I long for the one
who makes me want the winter I loathe
breathing frost admist the dancing lights.
