Cigs war won: Now cancer campaigners set their sights on beer

i don't mind if the government raises taxes on wine and beer. I like the taste by slowly but surely I am drinking less. Recently I got massively drunk for the first time in two years. Apart from that my drinking is just a few standard drinks whilst i'm tripping.

Now if they raised the price of LSD, the government can go fuck themselves and the horse they rode in on.

So it's ok to tax something if you don't particularly like it but not if you do? Bit selfish. It's thanks to people like you that governments can get away with so much, because generally only a minority give a shit about a given topic :|

To quote Pastor Martin Niemöller:

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

i.e. sometimes one must stand up for something on a moral basis even if it doesn't (significantly) affect you

If you drink you will get pregnant and die . Serious people if it's a problem for you, go to the cupboard and grap a bag of sugar and some yeast, Mix it with water and somehow you have booze.

Hinch was having a lemon lime & bitters. Just because you're at a pub doesn't mean you're forced to drink alcohol.

thats a fair comment but angosturas biteers is very alcoholic 44.7 i think but none the less its only a few drops :p goes well in espresso shots real fruity
