If i smoke while on antipsychotics will this reduce the amount of the antipsychotic in my bloodstream? I know it sounds stupid but i've read it can reduce it? Does an extremely low dose of an antipsychotic block the effects of drugs? Yes, I know I shouldn't take drugs while having a mental illness but I don't care so please don't bring that up. I just want to know.
is there anything i can do to get an antipsychotic out of my system? ANYTHING? there has to be something?

Niacin Flush (taking a high dose of Niacin AKA Vitamin B3) helps flush out your system and get rid of drugs more quickly. However, taking a high dose of Niacin can temporarily give you a blotch red rash all over that feels very hot. It does not last long but can be alarming and is uncomfortable.

Other than that, drink a lot of water.

If you are taking a low dose it shouldn't block drugs.

plenty of people smoke on anti-psychotics, I doubt it matters.

Is the antipsychotic helping you what i do know is nicotine can help with the side effects of antipsychotics. Maybe you can just do both if you still have side effects you can take drugs that help with the side effects or maybe the dose is too high . You shouldnt feel worse on meds. But maybe a compromise giving it a shot while still doing drugs in moderation might be better.

Idk i kinda like feeling like generally between a six or 7 and peaking at 9 then a 10 for a night and miserable the rest.

Surely the idea of niacin being a worthwhile way of removing drugs from your system is highly contested? Especially given that the problem would be that the drug in this scenario would be activated within your body, and the issue would be far beyond simply removing the substance from the bloodstream.

OP: If you don't want to be on antipsychotics then I'd imagine (I'm afraid) that the only solution is not to take them. Whether that is a good idea is another thing altogether, but presumably you can not simply cheat them.

I doubt it, but I can't say I know enough about this to 100% confirm that. Nicotine does stay in your system for a bit after you smoke, but it's not significant enough to really do anything unless you smoke like 2 packs a day. I used to be in Zyprexa (antipsychotic) for sleep, but the effects lasted 24/7. I was on it for a few weeks while not smoking (for a different reason), then started smoking 5-10 cigs a day and noticed no change whatsoever. Im currently on Seroquel instead, which is only active after I take it at night until 30 minutes after waking up. I don't notice any difference when smoking at night. I take other drugs that interact with Seroquel in the mornings so I can't tell, but I mean if it doesn't effect it at night it shouldn't in the morning without other factors. I'm guessing whoever you heard this from just twisted around and exaggerated some info related to it. Nicotine is technically a stimulant, but is different from traditional CNS stimulants like amphetamines or methylphenidate. Traditional CNS stimulants can counteract some effects from antipsychotics, but it doesn't actually lower the amount in your system, it just does the opposite of some things antipsychotics do. Either way, nicotine is different from traditional CNS stimulants, is far weaker in comparison, and only lasts like 10 minutes anyway, so smoking really shouldn't effect it

I imagine this this theory is based on the idea that cigarettes induce certain liver enzymes

It doesn't completely block drugs but it does mostly.
I doubt Niacin flush will get this crap depot out of my system.
It says that Niacin is used to treat schizophrenia so I don't see how it would work.

Wait are we talking about typical antipsychotics or atypical antipsychotics for psychosis or atypical antipsychotics like seroquel for sleep or depression. I was picturing like thorazine and smoking for the restlessness or flat mood

Clopixol

The one Im certain is affected by cigarette smoking is clozapine as tobacco use can induce CYP1A2 which metabolizes clozapine. Clopixol's metabolism is mediated by CYP2d6 and 3a4 which cigs have less action on. Much less.

feel which drugs? the antipsyches or some other kind?

So the lower the dolse of the antipsychotic the more chance recreational drugs will hit me?
