I wrote near to end of my senior year to a friend whom I used to be very close to but we had drifted apart. I wanted to share with him (and you) the impact on my life that he had and how much he ment (means) to me. I haven't given him the letter yet, I want to perfect it before I give it to him. My plan is to leave it for him right before I head off to college, it just seems like a good time to say good-bye. So your input is much appricated on how to perfect it before I give it to him.
Dearest Chuck,
With my senior year coming to an end I have been reflecting back on the past four years. I know we no longer talk but I wanted to let you know how much you ment to me and what an impact on my life you had; I am part of who I am because of you. I cna't deny that things have changed because they have-drasticaly.
A year and a half ago when you entered my life, it changed forever. Our friendship taught me some very valuable life lessons, lessons bout people, friendships and love.
Although we no longer speak, I still call you a friend and think back on all the good times we had together. No matter what happens I will always remember you and I will always love you. I'll always remember the niht you came and rescued me after I had a fight with my mom. I will always love you for you compassion and understanding. I will always remember the look on your face after the first time that we kissed. I will always love you for your sense of humor and matching sarcasm. I will always remember prom and I will always love you just because you are you.
I know we had our rough times for a few months but I was happy to see that we worked at it and things got better at the end, however I am sad to see that that didn't last for very long. But friends come and go with different chapters in our lives, and I guess it was time for ours to come to an end.
I will always keep you and the memories we shared close to my heart, I will never forget them or you.
Well I guess it is time to say good-bye Chuck, good-bye to my best friend.
Love always and forever,
Kirstin
