Hey all, been using cocaine almost daily for past 2-3 years. Started using 11 years ago, but only been a chronic/daily user for past few years. (Also on MMT for past year, but no other drugs)

Anyway, about a week ago, I started to get some slight pain, almost like a mild cramp in my upper cheast. Its very localized, directly below the middle of my left collar bone, and I do mean directly below my collar bone, almost under it.

And I only get this pain after snorting a line of coke. It doesn't alwways happenn but it happens enough for it to be more than a freak occurance.

I know this is better suited for a doctor to answer and I'm not nervous about it. I'd just like to know if anyone else has experienced this or is familiar with this?

I got this the last few times of smoking crack. It was frightening enough I never want to do it again.
It might be a heart condition or any number of things. See your doctor and slow down your usage to be safe.

Its been forever since I've used cocaine (i prefer heroin) but I've felt that exact pain in that exact location and after some non drug related searching I found that it might be due to some blood pressure/heart problems. (i have hypertension)
I don't know much about cocaine, does it raise your blood pressure at all?

As cocaine is a stimulant it will raise blood pressure and increase heart rate. If you feel that pain in your chest it's a sign that you should take it easy and take measures to reduce your heart rate. Walter, if you've been using cocaine for so long and you're only now starting to feel cardiovascular side effects perhaps you should count yourself lucky and reduce your usage? Cocaine is well known to be cardiotoxic, and you really don't want to risk your heart if you want to live a long life.

If you are worried cease use and see a doctor, try to have a ECG done and maybe hint that you've been taking stimulants (even just say caffeine pills if you are afraid) Its good to give your dr as much info as possible, and to see him/her if you are worried. That said when I have binges of meth or blow I can end up with a very mild pain in my chest especially if I havent eaten or drank enough and kept vitamin levels up. Smoking lots of weed on heavy stims seems to make my heart POUND so maybe try to avoid weed till youve come down.

Yeah it actually was the worst/scariest after I smoked some crack the day before I made the original post...but if experienced it from just snorting and that was the first time I smoked crack in about a year

Also, one of the other scariest times this past week came after I smoked some weed, which is also something I rarely do, and I chalked it up to anxiety induced from the weed since I rarely smoke anymore

Something else to consider is that I had taken propylhexadrine (benzadrex) to replace the coke recently and thought that may have kick started the tendancy to feel pain from the coke

I think avoiding crack, avoiding weed, and avoiding propylhexadrine are good starts. I was also low on food, water, and vitamins the times this has happened, so proper nutrition is something to keep in mind alson as well as getting sufficient sleep as the pain seems more frequent when I'm operating on a lack of sleep.

I want to uit coke alltogether but its sooo easy to obtain (I live with a dealer) that I just can't stay away even when I don't wanna do it and am worried about these pains. Thanks all for the input thozm. It was reasuring to know that other ppl in similar circumstances have experienced the same things. At least I know it wasn't some freak thing!

Take a break and avoid any stimulant, see a doctor and get Ecg and blood/urine exam, your body is telling you to stop IMHO.
