Fun with Haikus. For those of you who want to add, but don't know the haiku scheme of things (although it seems most are very well versed -hee hee- in poetry) haikus are syllabic. They go 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables. Use your fingers to count...

socks like last year? gran's choice bad...
green jordache jeans. ugh.
friend wants 'the four C's'
for christmas: cash, clothes, cds,
and a computer.
this year, christmas seems
trivial. why would I want
anything but peace?
gingerbread. snowballs.
candy canes, and those god damned
gross sugar cookies.
fresh balsam fir? no
needles in vacuum for me.
my tree is in box.
snow so pretty, white.
drifts down christmas day. yet must
be cleared boxing day!
christmas eve i still
lay awake, thinking, not of
gifts, but of memories.
taking ornaments
out of box. how do the lights
get tangled each year?
load up on turkey.
full of tryptophan and that
makes serotonin...
