Chlorpheniramine added effects to low-moderate dxm trip? Deliriant effects?

SWIM took 8 triple C pills, (dumb I know) for a total of 240mg of dxm and 32mg chlorpheniramine maleate. SWIM got really high but it was a weird high, different than a normal dxm trip. SWIM knows that this is a relatively low dose of dxm and most Likley wouldn't cause hallucinations, but I definitely saw some ( not a lot, of OEV) and a lot more CEV. But SWIM HAS TAKEN higher does of pure dxm and not tripped as hard as this time. My main questions are: is this because of the added antihistamine? and were these deliriant hallucinations instead?? How many mg's of chlorpheniramine actually cause deliriant effects?? And yes I know that this is dangerous so SWIM will not use Triple C's as his dxm source again. Also do these drugs in combinations (dxm and chlorpheniramine) differentiate the effects of taking them separately??

Yes it's likely that the anticholinergic effects contributed to the hallucinations, also chlorpheniramine is a SNRI so it could have interacted with DXM in that way. This is quite a dangerous interaction however (risks serotonin syndrome) so I'd recommend against trying this combination again.

That is an UnGodly dose of Chlorpheniermene.
I'm prescribed Chlorpheniermene for allergies and i hardly ever take them, as benadryl is better, but usually if i take many opioids and am itchy i'll have one.

P.S. Chlorpheniramine has mild SNRI properties so it could contribute to having a seizure while on dxm.

Wow I guess I underestimated just how dangerous it was. But this makes sense be size I swear I had deliriant effects. Felt so much weirder than just dxm. I don't see how people could take any more pills than this but my friend said he took 12 once.

If you'd been in a state of delirium, it would have been very obvious (in hindsight. Not so much during).

It just sounds like you got high off DXM to me. Every trip is different.

Yep, 'tis a toxic combo.

Also, both chlorpheniramine and DXM are metabolized by the cytochrome p450 2D6 and 3A4 enzymes, so they competitively inhibit the other's break down (i.e. they potentiate each other).

CPM has a number of health risks, if you want to use an antihistamine for its anticholinergic effects, I'd go with diphenhydramine, which is most widely used for this effect. There might be some more obscure ones that are better suited though.
