Come on, don't try and claim that you can't find anything in searches. A quick search on google yields plenty of info.
Chlorobutanol is a chloral derivative that acts as a CNS depressant in a similar way to chloral.
From Rhodium's page on chlorobutanol, "Chlorobutol is a mild hypnotic with analgesic properties, used in seasickness, persistent hiccupping, and irritations due to chronic skin diseases. Dosage: 0.3 to 1.2g"
He includes plenty of synthesis information as well:

It is also used as an anaesthetic:
