Opioids Chitosan efficacy in iv opiates

As the title suggests i am interested in finding out how effective chitosan is in potentiating iv opiates. I know its potential for boosting intranasal morphine and was wondering whether this has anything to do with ROA?
 
The morphine base is less lipophilic (i.e. more non-polar) than most intranasally administered drugs so chitosan increases the permeability of the nasal cell membranes allow the morphine to get into them and then out the other side into the blood stream. It is known as paracellular transport and completely dependent on the ROA.

I can not see chitosan helping in anyway with IV administration of morphine unless high concentrations in the blood help morphine cross the BBB. Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure chitosan is a potent coagulant used in veterinary medicine or something so maybe more of a chitosan metabolite.
 
Bah! After some consultation i find out that the bioav. of anything iv is 100% therefore no need for the chitosan, hence its admin depends on the ROA. P.s Sorry for not editing my post
 
I wouldn't be injecting chitosan, I don't like the idea of huge blobs of polysaccharides being shot into me. Embolism city, or worse, they act like heparin and you turn to a walking bruise.
