A child who ate candy laced with LSD is back with his mother.
As she promised a year-and-a-half ago, Ashli Freas did everything required under the law to get her son back.
In June 2006, Freas was attending a friend’s party when her son ate LSD-laced candy from a party bowl. Freas says she didn’t know drugs were at the home. But police said she waited too long to call 911 for help.
Freas went through a series of court-ordered parenting classes and drug tests.
This week, a judge closed the case and Freas regained full custody of her son.

Being a kid is like being on drugs, come on just ask your parents what you were like.
tokey said:where this absurd notion (LSD is harmless physically and mentally to children) came from?
wtf lol:Dfruitfly said:four ounces of marijuana

Sheesh.
Common sense - as long as the kid looks ok, acts ok, and physically is fine, why freak out?
You'll only scare the kid.
Knowing what they're about to go through, you should try to keep the child calm, give them something soft and fuzzy, tell them jokes and keep them as happy as possible.
Call into work, say you're kid's sick, you have to stay home, and TAKE CARE OF THEM.
Last thing I'd want on LSD is to be in a hospital with strangers, my mom being drug off by the cops, not knowing what's going on, and not being able to have my mom hold me and tell me I'll be ok.
What was she thinking?

Donielle Maki is charged with four felonies - physical abuse of a child, possession of LSD and marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of narcotics. She's also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. If convicted on all counts, she could be imprisoned up to 25 years and 7 months.

tokey said:Why is there an underlying presumption that LSD is harmless to a child? I don't agree with that assertion and I'd like to see proof that it is not harmful. Advocating that people not bring their children to the hospital for consuming LSD might be construed as spreading harmful, misinformation on bluelight - which is punishable by at least a warning, I'm sure./I think the point is there is nothing a hospital can do aside from administering sedatives.
tokey said:It seems as if a lot of the people here are thinking that the worst that can happen is a bad trip. That leaves me wondering: how do you know if the baby is having a good trip or a bad trip?
Screaming in despair and fear: bad trip. Not doing those things: good trip.
