Doing what you have to do to get by in life with important goals that impact your future, and following the rules on an internet forum so the whole thing runs smoothly are pretty different and I think you know that.. But good try.
 
Yo... Hey opiate guy. First time taking subs and was on them like a few days then tapered no withdrawals. Totally a miracle drug! Methadone was like a 2 week withdrawal. But u are off dope which is great. I shared my story at the treatment center on Easter Sunday. Man it was like an hour and a half and hope I may of saved some lives or people from trying dope cuz what happened to me. But today I'm clean and sober and going to a meeting. For those still using I am thinking about u guys and hoping u are safe and not sick... One day at a time and u will see life normal when u want to if I can do it anyone can do it!!! Music is a godsend...

Yeah theres more police!!! Cause I got caught with a dub!!:! Now Im on house arrest for a fucking .3 gram! Thats bullshit, I hope this shit gets thrown out!!:\

I'm glad to see you're doing ok. When I read your story I knew that you were very much in a situation where you would either sink or swim, and I'm happy to see it's the latter.
 
Well,its good that your story may have helped someone,i just find it disturbing that you had to lose an arm to get your addiction under control.Why did you wait so long to go to the doctor,didnt you realize that something was terrible wrong much earlier,to losing it? I have never,had a life changeing event do too.dope so maybe thats why i dont get why u didnt go to the E.R till it was so late. Anyways,i glad you r ok n sober,goodluck.!!
 
hey all! first full day out of rehab! at a halfway house in chicago. was out alone today on job search and did not even have that urge to go pick up! did not think that would happen when i first got into rehab. thought i would do my 28 days and go back to being me. thankfully just for today, I am clean and sober and pretty happy with that!

and fantom, that is awesome news! keep it up!

It's starting to get warm out, I'm feeling so good I'm not waking up sick every day
I went to a show the other night and ate acid, it was a lot more fun than nodding out at my pc all night

I don't know I have never been as it's not my thing. And I had to get away from the city too much temptation . maybe google it.
 
Chef - did you watch the WGN story? I couldn't watch at 5 cause I was still at work. So I just looked at the website right now, and there's nothing posted yet. Tried a search on heroin and all that comes up is old news stories that I've already seen. Wanted to watch it, see what the cops say about what they're doing right now...and especially see if they drive past any of my old spots or neighborhoods. I figure they almost have to...I mean, there's so many spots in this big city, but there's a few well-known neighborhoods...anyway, if you saw it, or got a link or whatever...I'll keep checking their website.
 
Same old, same old. I'll still look for it. Even the Nat Geo stuff didn't show any of my old locations, not even close.
The BBC story did a pretty good job, but that was mainly about people living on Lower Wacker.
 
Long time lurker, novice poster. I was wondering if any of you guys know what usually happens when you get popped with a dub at on of those sizzling hot spots...besides getting charged with a felony and sitting around on house arrest like a dick waiting for preliminary hearing. I made a mistake of lingering and casually drinking my shit in a brown paper bag and BAM! There was a fucking cop like a genie out of nowhere and I totally forgot I had a bag on me so I'm like fuck it, whatever, search me. And BAM!! Another genie! Yeah, I forgot to mention right before that I did a flame dub while walking(they were wierd dark blue bags that looked like a bag sandwitched in a piece of duct tape. When he pulled that shit out of my pocket I was like DAAAAMN! what a waste...They have my phone in lock up and my watch at 11th

^^ Also a longtime lurker, only a few posts under my belt. I just got off of house arrest. Was on it for 3 months. It was absolutely the most boring and depressing 3 months of my life. I got popped with 28 bags on the west side and got a year of probation. It was my first felony and actually my first arrest ever so I know that had a lot to do with my sentencing. If yoh don't have any priors I think it would be safe to sayfor only1 dub you'll probably get maybe just drug classes or TASC probation. It all depends on your background, the judge, your attorney...ect. Good luck.
One of the best feelings ever was popping that little black clip off the ankle bracelet with a butter knife after tje sheriff called and said my release came thru.

Hard to answer, as the law is so all over the place. Different people will get totally different sentences for the exact same crime.. could be probation, jail, misdemeanors, felonies.. many variables at play.
