So I've got some wicked chest pains, and I'm not sure if I tore something from coughing my brains out smoking hash oil, or if it's opiate w/d from being on pills for about the last month. (Started out as a bottle of tabs after an appendectomy, grew to a second bottle and a half, then bought like 20 perc 7.5's, just ran out last night. I figured I'd get some cramping, usually I get it in my lower back and stomach, but this surprises me. It's not constant, but stabbing when I breath wrong or bend over to pick something up without bending at the knees and moving slowly. It's localized around my, uh, left man boob and towards the center of my chest?

Opinions appreciated =)

I have this every time I come off my methadone. Right now its day 6 of miserable withdrawal; I attribute the condition to the fact that your body becomes so used to a "naturally" depressed breathing cycle that it just starts compensating for it and once that depressant is removed it has a re-bound affect which can have you grasping for breathe and burn your chest a bit if you don't take it slow as possible in withdrawal.

That area around your heart/aorta is very-much what is going to be bearing the physical rebound hypertension and will naturally have your blood-pressure sky-rocket (My record is 183/118 in precipitated withdrawal and *sedated*) so just clear your schedule these coming days and I hope its nothing more serious. If it continues to be very painful after withdrawal is done and/or you resume habitual opioid use/abuse; the above-poster is right, seek a doctor!

Good luck on the taper!

Taper nothing I just ran out of pills and refused to buy anymore haha

At this point it's pretty much gone, I'm thinkin it must have been the pills. Wasn't that bad, the stomach cramping I got after my last surgery was way worse.

Thanks all =)
