Hey everyone.. Just got a few new tattoos done the other night, after having the idea come to me in a dream I ran out and got them immediately.. I'm excited about them and I love tattoos.. So I wanted to share with some like-minded people!

The words beneath the four molecules just relate to some of my personal feelings about the substances they represent, and most of the words could be applied to any of the substances.. If anyone wants an explanation why I chose what I did I'd be happy to share, but first.. Let's see who can guess which one is which!

excellent! i love the simplistic style, it leaves a lot to the imagination. Eventually I'll get myself some tattoos but i haven't had a good occasion or design to do yet :)
 
If i were to guess, it looks like Mind - LSD, Heart - MDMA, Soul - DMT, unsure about Body.. but interesting none the less. ;)
 
The last one be Ibogaine I think. As malakaix has already correctly identified the others. Awesome tattoos by the way man I totally dig the simplistic nature of them.

Thank you all so much for your kind words.. Like I said, I was very excited getting them and couldn't wait to get these pictures up where I'm sure some people would appreciate it. Awesome guys, thanks!

And yup! Ya'll guessed'em right.

Mind = LSD
Heart = MDMA
Body = Ibogaine
Soul = DMT

Like I said, those words could be applied to almost any of them probably.. But I did them that way because LSD was the first thing to truly open up my mind. From MDMA I learned the value of true human connection. Ibogaine saved me from a heroin addiction that would have killed me (my body). And DMT... Well I can't quite put that into words, but they don't call it the spirit molecule for nothing!

Nice job guessing by the way, I know those pictures are the best. I figured people would get LSD, MDMA, and DMT pretty quickly, but good job glimmi getting Ibogaine, that's a little more obscure.

And once again, thanks for the compliments! There's always been a part of me that's kind of wanted some big huge crazy tattoo or something, but I always end up getting ones that are pretty simple and straightforward.
 
I hate tattoos, even more on women, (actually equally hate them on both men & woman)
and im a woman and must admit that i did think of getting a tattoo of the MDMA molecule, lol

haha! that's great... It's a personal preference I guess.. There are certainly plenty of tattoos I've seen that I don't like.. But I'm a male and I've seen many girls with tattoos that I think are incredibly sexy. When done with good intentions and in good taste, I think it's a great way to express yourself.. And for some reason, my psychedelic use always encourages me to get more tattoos.. I always remember how temporary my body is, and think "why not decorate it!"

I want to get one of an LSD molecule, because its molecular geometry is so remarkably clever! :D It marries the tryptamine and phenethylamine skeletons in such a brilliant manner, I could spent hours looking at it.
 
great tats. on my 18th bday, im getting all of my favorite molecules on my arm. im getting my right arm slevved with allthe molecules somewhat hidden in the art. so you have to find them haha

And yeah, perhaps.. I'm not an artist at all, but I have some friends who are pretty talented.. Whenever I find someone I trust, or who's art I like.. I wouldn't be opposed to letting someone design some stuff to spice it up..

But I'm open to that with all my tattoos.. So far every one I have is pretty simple, with the intention of being able to add to it in the future should I ever want to. I like having options :D

haha not me women that are inked turn me on so much. i dont have any tatoos myself but i hope to someday get something done and it will definatley be something i have drawn out myself

Haha it certainly is! Probably the most beautiful molecular architecture I have ever seen.

Check out the indole at the bottom. If you ignore the pyrrole ring of the indole structure, you can see LSD has phenethylamine in its structure. Then if you consider the pyrrole ring, you realize it also has tryptamine in its structure (a sort of funky methyl ethyl tryptamine, minus 1 hydrogen, to be exact). Then what's REALLY trippy, is the phenethylamine and tryptamine skeletons meet in a fused cyclohexane ring in the middle. It's chemically NUTS! :D I can't even begin to describe how graceful that molecule is, from the standpoint of an organic chemist. And yes, this is even BEFORE its crossed the BBB. :D <3
