Opioids Cheating Sub withdrawals with Codeine/Dihydrocodeine

Ive been on subs around a month and ive tapered from 4mg to .5. Ive pretty much stabilised on .5 but each dose decrease finds me dragging my ass around like a caboose. Now rather than endure this for another few weeks followed by a drawn out wd it makes sense to me to switch to a weaker SAO.
Ive decided that this is the most sensible option in my particular case. Im not going to get strung out again especially since my DOC changed to Morphine a while back. In the UK there is no indication that dihydrocodeine will be OTC and im not doctor shopping for dihydrocodeine for fear that it will be put down on my record. The only option is codeine.
Will codeine be sufficient? That is for my dose how much will I end up taking and is it worth dosing morning and evening or simply taking a huge dose in the morning or evening. Also are codeine and dihydrocodeine similar in effects/duration/potency (I know DHC is 1.5x strronger but will taking the equivalent dose of codeine produce comparable results). Also are the withdrawals different from each
Finally how long do I need to stick with the codeine to ensure that i'll have the shorter more manageable withdrawals
Also if anyone knows whether DHC is available for a UK resident could you PM (Im not sure if this qualified as solicitation chastise me if necessary)

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think if you took subs for a month that codeine or DHC will do anything at all for you but then again some people take tramadol for heroin w/d's so I may be wrong.

Im almost certain it will since ive done this before. I made it through the acute and in fact it was my longest PAWS run too. All in all that was my most sucessful detox in actuality. I failed due to the conditions in which I was living at the time (isolation etc)
