you're an extremist, and you're xenophobic. this "ad hom" isn't a logical fallacy like ad hominems usually are... it's the truth.

we could address your facts with our facts, but the meaning/interpretation/model would not be conveyed. which is why the xenophobic extremism is relevant to the debate.
(lol ;))

You want some logic, I'll make it simple... how about Argumentum Ad Ignorantium- Since science can't disprove genetics or heredity causes homosexuality... the opposite must be true Post hoc/False Cause fallacy they can't help themseves since their born that way just like other minority ethnic group...and sex urges are too overwhelming to control.... they have no choice and everyone else should embrace their lifestyle including govt intervention and schools...etc Appeal to pity... poor gays they can't help who they are since the APA reclassified their code. APA altered their opinions and now says their behavior is OK... so everyone else should. It doesn't matter that gays stacked the [committe] deck with homosexual psychiatrists [at least 11 out of 17] and gay advovates bullied these wimps to change the DSM codes.

lets look at the committe list who was to make the APA vote. According to the "17 individuals, both straight and gay" were on the list. AT LEAST 11 of 17were homosexuals. Talk about stacking a deck. These are just those who could be confirmed... there're are probably at least a couple more?? 11 of 17 is plenty though.

++Dr. John Fryer, who disguised his identity to speak before the APA’s annual meeting in 1972 on the discrimination gay psychiatrists faced in their own profession
++Dr. Charles Silverstein, who saw the diagnosis of homosexuality as a means of social control
++ Dr. Lawrence Hartmann, who helped reform the APA and later served as its President in 1991-92

Dr. Robert J. Campbell, who helped persuade the APA’s Nomenclature Committee to hear scientific data presented by gay activists
Dr. Judd Marmor, an early psychoanalytic critic of theories that pathologized homosexuality
Dr. Robert Spitzer, who chaired the APA’s Nomenclature Committee
++Dr. Frank Rundle, who helped organize the first meeting of what would become the APA Caucus of Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Psychiatrists
++Dr. David Kessler, AGLP President from 1980-82
++Dr. Nanette Gartrell, a pioneer of feminist issues within the APA
++Dr. Stuart Nichols, President of the AGLP in 1983-84 and a founding member of the Gay and Lesbian Psychiatrists of New York (GLPNY)
++Dr. Emery Hetrick, a founding member of both AGLP and GLPNY
Dr. Bertram Schaffner, who was instrumental in providing group psychotherapy for physicians with AIDS
++Dr. Martha Kirkpatrick, a long-time leader in psychiatry and psychoanalysis, both as a woman and an “out” lesbian
++Dr. Richard Isay, the first openly gay psychoanalyst in the American Psychoanalytic Association

Dr. Richard Pillard, best known for studying the incidence of homosexuality in families of twins
Dr. Edward Hanin, former Speaker of the APA Assembly
++Dr. Ralph Roughton, the first openly gay Training and Supervising Psychoanalyst to be recognized within the American and International Psychoanalytic Associations
++ Homosexual

Without the commitee recomendation their would never have been a vote among the APA to change the dsm codes. The hijacking of science in the APA by those advocating homosexuality has now taken a very interesting twist. Thirty years later after this decision by the APA, Robert L. Spitzer, M.D. who was instrumental in the removal of homosexuality in 1973 from the lists of sexual disorders in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual is once again facing the anger of others. The first time was by those who opposed the normalization of homosexuality. Now after publishing the results of a study showing that some people may change their sexual orientation from homosexual to heterosexual, it is those advocating for homosexuality.

Spitzer, M.D., Robert L. “Reply: Study Results Should Not be Dismissed and Justify Further Research on the Efficacy of Sexual Reorientation Therapy.” Archives of Sexual Behavior

Dr. Ronald Bayer, a pro-homosexual psychiatrist has described what actually occurred in his book, Homosexuality and American Psychiatry: The Politics of Diagnosis. (1981)

In Chapter 4, "Diagnostic Politics: Homosexuality and the American Psychiatric Association," Dr. Bayer says that the first attack by homosexual activists against the APA began in 1970 when this organization held its convention in San Francisco. Homosexual activists decided to disrupt the conference by interrupting speakers and shouting down and ridiculing psychiatrists who viewed homosexuality as a mental disorder. In 1971, homosexual activist Frank Kameny worked with the Gay Liberation Front collective to demonstrate against the APA's convention. At the 1971 conference, Kameny grabbed the microphone and yelled, "Psychiatry is the enemy incarnate. Psychiatry has waged a relentless war of extermination against us. You may take this as a declaration of war against you."

Homosexuals forged APA credentials and gained access to exhibit areas in the conference. They threatened anyone who claimed that homosexuals needed to be cured.

Kameny had found an ally inside of the APA named Kent Robinson who helped the homosexual activist present his demand that homosexuality be removed from the DSM. At the 1972 convention, homosexual activists were permitted to set up a display booth, entitled "Gay, Proud and Healthy."

Kameny was then permitted to be part of a panel of psychiatrists who were to discuss homosexuality. The effort to remove homosexuality as a mental disorder from the DSM was the result of power politics, threats, and intimidation, not scientific discoveries.

Phobic?? OK since we're getting into fears/hate name calling.... I'll bring some reality to your demented thought and beliefs. We'll do it kinda like a short version of a Billy Joel song...

You're a Christianophobe, heterophobe, Phronemophobe, theophobe, ecclesiophobe, angrophobe, psychophobe, chrometophobe, conservephobe, allodoxaphobe, successophobe, hylephobe, zeusophobe, orthophobe, agliophobe, hagiophobe...etc... We didn't start the fire It was always burning ...Since the world's been turning

I could go further this about covering your phobic bullshit. But I've reached the conclusion this is a waste of my time since you & your pals will never understand you've been brainwashing and have no idea where it's taking you. However, it's somewhere along the lines of Panophobia.

you forgot phobophobe.

is donald trump too stupid to be racist?

is subdude too stupid to be an anti-gay bigot?

right on the line there, i know. but it fits so perfectly ;)

Argumentum Ad Ignorantium- Since science can't disprove genetics or heredity causes homosexuality... the opposite must be true
uh, there is a lot we know about how heredity influences homosexuality. there is also one's experiences in life, of course, and "scientists" take this into account. no study says that genes determine whether you are a homosexual or heterosexual, studies track correlations between patterns of DNA and patterns of behavior. sorry subdude, but it's true, if you are born with genes X Y and Z, you may be more likely to gamble; if you are born with genes Y Z and A, you may be more likely to have gay sex. it's a matter of probabilities, as far as the science and statistics are concerned.

"science" says nothing about whether those behaviors or study results are "morally right or wrong" - there we enter the worldview gap, and we need to bring philosophy to the table in addition to science.

what science does tell us, is that homosexuality is indeed quite "natural" (i hate the word natural, but if you insist on using it, it does apply here in the way you use it).
Post hoc/False Cause fallacy they can't help themseves since their born that way just like other minority ethnic group...and sex urges are too overwhelming to control.... they have no choice and everyone else should embrace their lifestyle including govt intervention and schools...etc
what? i mean, what?

your paragraph implies that all homosexuals are simply homosexuals because, while they'd normally be straight, they can't contain their impulse. that's not why men fall in love with men. and it's not why men lust after other men.

like i said, your empathy is actively being blocked... try this exercise when you're feeling open minded (100mg MDMA should do the trick)... imagine that there is a guy, and when he spends time with or is intimate with other guys, he feels the same way you do when you spend time or are intimate with women. is that so hard to understand?
Appeal to pity... poor gays they can't help who they are since the APA reclassified their code. APA altered their opinions and now says their behavior is OK... so everyone else should. It doesn't matter that gays stacked the [committe] deck with homosexual psychiatrists [at least 11 out of 17] and gay advovates bullied these wimps to change the DSM codes.
i've made no "appeal to pity". i'm simply saying that homosexuality is a part of our society that we can accept, and when we do, a lot of unnecessary suffering will start to end.

it's called unity among humans. it can be partly credited to the philosophy i bring to the table that i alluded to earlier... humanism. we're all in this together, and to compartmentalize/segment off gays into an underclass of society is as ridiculous as alienating women, blacks, drug users, et al.

your message is one of division, you can't get around that fact. it carries psychosocial currents of hatred, you can't get around that. and financially, socially, ethically (if we're talking about the average person, and not the upper 1% of 1%'s short term profit margin), it makes absolutely no sense.

In 2001, Spitzer delivered a controversial paper, Can Some Gay Men and Lesbians Change Their Sexual Orientation? at the 2001 annual APA meeting; in that paper, Spitzer argued that highly motivated individuals could successfully change their sexual orientation from homosexual to heterosexual. Considering how difficult it had been to find 100 participants, and that they were considered the best cases of conversion therapy, Dr. Spitzer concluded that it was possible that a highly motivated individual could change, but that it was probably very rare.[16]
okay, everybody knows that a lot of people fall in between "totally straight" and "fabulously gay"... people move back and forth, with various psychological and social forces playing roles... those are the results i'd expect from this study.
The hijacking of science in the APA by those advocating homosexuality
sorry, subdude, there is no centralized "gay agenda". if there was, it'd involve little unicorns for every little girl and pink play guns for every little boy; hardly anything malicious ;)

It seems that science is falling on the side of genetics/in-utero environment being a very large contributing cause in homosexuality.

But the science is still out.

The real question is, does it matter?

Lets say I prefer redheads. Is it genetic? Is it some experience that happened in early childhood? Does it matter. No, of course not. Just give me the freedom to like redheads.

Post hoc/False Cause fallacy they can't help themseves since their born that way just like other minority ethnic group...and sex urges are too overwhelming to control.... they have no choice and everyone else should embrace their lifestyle including govt intervention and schools...etc

Again, using redheads as an example, am I asking for government to embrace my hypothetical lifestyle? Nope. Would I like to live in a world where I could be attracted to redheads and society would so nothing wrong with it? Yes.

As long as I'm attracted to adult redheads, and engage in mutually-consenting behavior, why should society even care?

Appeal to pity... poor gays they can't help who they are since the APA reclassified their code. APA altered their opinions and now says their behavior is OK...

I don't care about this. I care about the ramifications of a decision.

If my hypothetical redhead attraction was banned in the past, and it was only overturned relatively recently, why does that matter?

Shouldn't, when it comes to human behavior, we err on the side of freedom for consenting adults?

Or does it scare you so much that children could grow up with the idea that adults should be treated as adults? That, once mature, we have the choice to do what we want, as long as we aren't harming others? That means we have the choice to engage in risky behaviors, such as motorcycle riding, or skydiving. I might not want to do them, heck, I might even question the sanity of anyone who willingly decides to jump out of a fully functional plane with just a big sheet of ripstop nylon tied to their backs, but I'm not going to advocate forcing people to live a certain way.

We should advocate the idea of individual liberty.

lets look at the committe list who was to make the APA vote. According to the "17 individuals, both straight and gay" were on the list. AT LEAST 11 of 17were homosexuals. Talk about stacking a deck. These are just those who could be confirmed... there're are probably at least a couple more?? 11 of 17 is plenty though.

And?

Should we care?

If this vote concerned interracial marriage, and 11 out of the 17 individuals were married to someone not of the same race, would we even bring it up?

Now after publishing the results of a study showing that some people may change their sexual orientation from homosexual to heterosexual, it is those advocating for homosexuality.

Lets take people who live in suburban 3000 sq ft homes on a 2 acre lot, and drive a hummer an hour each way to their jobs.

If, I can show, with therapy and education, some of those people end up moving close to their jobs, renting a small apartment, and walk to work, does that mean that we should consider their previous behavior a psychological disorder?

Their behavior harms others indirectly through pollution and inefficient use of resources. It harms themselves (2 hours commuting each day tends to be correlated with less exercise). Should we teach against suburban living in schools? Should we outlaw it?

I could go further this about covering your phobic bullshit. But I've reached the conclusion this is a waste of my time since you & your pals will never understand you've been brainwashing and have no idea where it's taking you. However, it's somewhere along the lines of Panophobia.

It's a horrible, scary idea to you that we should treat adults like adults, isn't it? That we should embrace individualism and liberty? That people might not conform to social norms, and we might consider that okay.

What a horrible world it would be if institutions and government wouldn't control our lives.

Just in case anyone is interested, that guy in Ubreakable's video is incredibly boring. However, if you wanted to watch the same thing, but thought to yourself, "If only there was a non-boring host who is a Japanese samurai who dresses in a cape talking in front of a red flag and black swastika". Well, here you are.

The Gay Report, published by homosexual researchers Jay and Young revealed that 73 percent of homosexuals surveyed had at some time had sex with boys 16 to 19 years of age or younger

I thought this quote was funny.

I don't know about any of you other straight men, but I was in high school at one point, too. I didn't realize it was deplorable for 16-year-olds to have sex with each other.

QWE you got your TYT T-Shirt yet? I got my US Army shirt long ago... The army at least flew the helicopters. Even though they lost one....

Which is best??
