Yeah, I interpreted it as a juxtaposition between the feel-good rhetoric of philanthropy and future tech utopias, and the actually-existing system that someone like Musk participates in, which may actually consider killing all the hungry people as a viable solution if it happened to get a good quarterly return to shareholders or whatever.

As long as they are too poor to afford food or any of musk's products they will likely be useless resource drains to certain ppl (not necessarily musk, but probably).

Out of curiosity, does the president automatically get security clearance? I mean, I have some friends who work in fields requiring it and I know the vetting process is pretty deep. In one instance I was interviewed on their behalf and they really dig. I know one friend will never get a certain level of the clearance due to a joke he made in high school in which he mentioned that "it's not like I'm gonna shoot up the school or something" to a teacher. She flipped her wig and it's now on his permanent records... Surely Trump has some such conflict in his past.

this is completely inaccurate

What's the relation of violence in South America and gun control? I cannot see any. The reasons of high mortality rates here are by no means related to it, the reasons are grounded on historical facts, among them, the constant interferences of the US can be highlighted as one of the major aspects.
