What's the plan, then?
Good news is, that bulging disks can & do rectify themselves. A bit of time, taking it easy on the 'ol spine, and low-impact excercise will usually do the trick. Now.... if you had ruptured disks, that's a bit different.
And don't let the sawbones tell you that bulging disks absolutely require surgery..... they don't, unless it's causing immediate and crippling physical symptoms (beyond pain alone).
However, it's taken 5 years for my back pain to subside to a dull roar, and its so much better than what I would've been facing, had I gone under the knife..... quitting all opiate pain killers did help speed things up, by allowing me to focus on healing rather than just focusing on the fix & the pain relief After what the docs told me when I got my MRI results back the first time, I thought surgery might be the only option. 8)
