Technical Problem Capitalization - Uppercase

It has always bugged me that I can't make a post purely in upper case for emphatic purposes.

I presume there is a script running to automatically de-capitalize posts containing only capitals as they can be annoying and unsightly.

Could someone just let me know that this is indeed intentional so I stop getting angry when it doesn't let me.

Yea, you can't simply do OD --> BDD or whatever. It used to frustrate me until I picked up on the pattern.
