Opioids Can't Seem To Get High From Hydrocodone

So in the past couple days, I've taken 20mg and 40mg worth of 5/325 Vicodin. I don't have a tolerance, so that should be enough to get me quite a good high.

But that's not the case. I get the characteristic opioid itch and a lot of analgesia (my skin is numb right now) but no subjective effects. I don't feel high, and that's weird. I've used oxycodone and heroin (not IV) in the past (a couple years ago), so I'm really familiar with opioids. But it seems no matter what I do, it's just not there with hydrocodone. I know it's a weaker opioid, and thus has a weaker high, but there should definitely BE a high.

I just took half a Benadryl to try to potentiate it and ease the itching, I'll let you guys know how it goes.

But I'm curious, has this happened to anyone else? I'm disappointed, to say the least.

We do not explain how to get high here.

Reckless abuse of that medication can cause future high tolerance issues and overdose.
