Hey everyone. 10 days ago I started micro induction of suboxone, 5 days ago I stopped all morphine (1200mg) 200mg oxy and a few dillies. About a day after extreme sickness set in even taking a 12mg suboxone dose, so they jumped it up to 12 in the morning and I take 4mg up to 3 times more for a total of 24.

I am having some horrible vision problems here anything past the coffee table or tv is double, the highway, fuck forget it. I need this to go away. Is it the withdrawal and my big ass pupils for the first time in years or the suboxone. And how long this last. Thanks

Are you in a treatment program or seeking conjunctive medical care? Or are you just going to a suboxone clinic and doing it alone?

I have not heard of this before but am no expert on this. It could be a side effect from such massive doses of bupe. Did this start when you increased your suboxone dose?

I would really speak to a doctor asap if you can.

yeah, that is not a common effect, and could be something else entirely. I would definitely seek some medical help to figure out what is going on.

I’m on the road working and this city has a clinic open weekdays. Tuesday’s my day unless I’m in a bad way which this qualifies. I’m close to Vancouver so no point in the ER as soon as they hear opiate withdrawal they’ll show me the door

Yeah but you’re getting effects from treating it and can test negative - that’s gotta count for something right? And you aren’t asking for drugs - you are explaining a major side effects… I hope you can get seen

I went to the ER after the nurse hotline told me to. They don’t think it’s anything to do with this, waiting on CT scan now. That’s karma lol, my first truly sober day in 20 (I drank everyday of my life till last year) years and I’m spending it doin this.

I also just started suboxone, 3 days ago.
Also coming from Morphine. 90 mg a day.
I had a severe migraine headache yesterday, that causes me to lose my vision or have weird visual effects such as what you are speaking about.
I am down in bed having to just sleep it off when those migraines hit.
I am hoping that I get used to the suboxone and the headaches clear up.
I have noticed some positive effects from it. Such as my back and leg pain feel better, less pain, depression better, appetite is coming back, sex organs kicking back in. Feel like I am coming back to life in a lot of ways.
But, I am worried about the Migraines.

Vitamin B12 deficiency is to be expected if you drink/drank daily as alchohol prevents it from absorbing in the liver.

You have about 4-5 years of reserve in your liver once that is gone one of the symptoms is blurred vision/bad nails/dry lips.

It's only a huge dose if you STAY on that much after you stabilize. For now the 24 mgs a day is just what you need.

If you are still on that much a month from now then yeah, that's pretty huge. MOST people are good with between 2-4 mgs. per day ( maybe twice a day ) but that's only after they have stabilized from their initial WD period from their previous habit.

You will continue to feel better and probably won't even need half of that pretty soon. Or maybe you will. Everyone is different for sure. Main thing is you are doing better and that's all that matters right now.

Painful one, subuxone or should i say bupe in general, is really weird and works differently for everyone maybe because its a partial agonist unlike methadone, which no matter what at a certain dose will work for everyone. Bupe for some people doesnt work period. I was put on 24 mgs bupe from street fent smoked 2-3 grams a day. I never felt good, even some days taking 32 mgs the ceiling dose, and just couldnt believe how bad i felt still. Dont focus on mgs right now. I switched to methadone and i keep increasing the dose im at 105 mgs, but if i need more and im stone cold junkie then it is what it is. Dont feel bad its better than euphoric opiates or illegal street use will for sure lead to eventually kicking in a jail cell.

I got my sight back a few days ago. Anyways got a question for everyone. I still take 24mg just once a day in the morning now. If I take some dillies right now, which is the only thing with a high enough (affinity) to break through the bupe, will I get sick again starting tomorrow morning when I take my dose or does it matter?
