Cant catch a nod off of Methadone

All the other opiates ive tried in my life i was able to catch a nod off of but not methadone. I think i feel sick before the point where im gunna nod. All others ill take just enough to where i feel kinda sick but very tolerable as long as i dont throw up but with methadone iv even taken up to 10 mgs with no tolerance (i have self control) and just thrown uo a bit later but no nod once i took around 15 mgs affter taking it for a day or 2 before (i then stop so i have no withdrawl symptoms) and i dont remember any nodding what am i missing here?

Methadone is most likely different from any opiate you have taken in your life. It is possible to nod from methadone with no tolerance however, I would not do it as the risk of overdose is to high at those doses.

The real problem with methadone is its long half life and time till peak plasma levels. 10-15mg is a high dose for someone with no tolerance and in the scenario of an overdose it would likely happen 1-2h after ingestion if not closer to 2h. It's ok with no tolerance as a "feel good all day" drug at low doses 5-10mg but I practically beg of you to be careful and don't mix other CNS depressants with methadone. You are trying to have fun not die

Also tolerance caused by methadone is going to stick around longer then traditional opiates as its half life is 3-4x greater then others
