EDIT: i PMed my new friend skillz 4 thrillz fixed it for me. had something to do with something I dont understand at all, but he says it should work now. gonna go check and see. I still am interested in knowing what happened to my harm reduction post though.

hey guys, I made a thread in the introduce yourself forum and the OP went great but for some reason when I try to respond to the people that welcomed me nothing happens after i enter my post. I was worried at first because I spent some time on said post and thought it got lost but I managed to get it back and just PM it to the user I was replying to. I would still like to know why I cant reply to my own thread. I'm sure it's just a glitch.

Also, and this is not related. I'm pretty sure i made a second thread regarding harm reduction but for some reason I think it got deleted. Now, seeing that the post is gone I would assume that I would receive a message telling me that I got an infraction for breaking a rule or something but I didn't. So I don't know what if anything I did to have it deleted.

If it did get deleted and this isn't too much trouble I would like to know why it was so I can avoid making the same mistake in the future. If I broke the rules then I apologize (it's not my site, I don't make the rules I just try to follow em) and will pay more attention to them. I would also if possible like to have that post PMed to me so I can post it on erowid or edit out what was against the rules here and repost it.

Sorry for any inconveniences this may cause

you have two replies in that thread (post #6 and post #8) so you are demonstrably able to respond to that thread.

i can find no record of such a thread. it's possible that you wrote out the body of the post but didn't complete it by pressing the button to post ('submit new thread'). aside, in your nmi thread, there was a duplicate post (a copy of post #8) in the thread which was removed from site by the forum staff. it's possible you're just experiencing some teething issues with the forum software (which might be consistent with not having slept for 80 hours :)).

welcome to bluelight.

yah, i considered the option that the post was just gone forever either by mine or vb's fault. sucks too. i spent maybe over half an hour perfecting it. oh well. nothng lasts and nothing is lost as sphongle says.

and yeah, I was just having trouble submitting the post because vb was being weird but it eventually fixed itself. i am going to start writing my posts in textpad before entering them here though, so I don't lose any more of em. thanks for the info man and thanks for the welcome. looking forward to seeing you on the forum (which will happen a lot I'm sure as I spend most of my time within 10 meters of multiple computers, =/)

your post in NMI was not appearing because it was tagged by our spam filter. the filter looks for people with low post counts who post links, usually this is how spammers operate. but occasionally it catches real posts.
