How does 5 nanograms of THC affect drivers? CNN wanted to find out, so the network found an open test course in Washington state and three drivers willing to devote their lungs to an afternoon of "scientific" research.

You can judge CNN's findings for yourself by watching the clip below. Some outlets like the New York Post think it represents a huge fail for stoners; others like LA Weekly, see the pot-smokers performing pretty well.

Our take? We admit that the test subjects make a few flubs on the course. However, we also note that CNN has to get them well above the legal THC threshold to see any effect on their driving -- and by the time they reach that point, all three recognize that they shouldn't be behind the wheel.

So they basically showed that the 'legal limit' might be a bit too low.

I think they need to do larger scale tests but they'll probably find the same thing, stoners can drive while stoned fine but not while really fucking high.
 
Also the time it takes to "sober up" is also far shorter than compared to alcohol. Waiting a couple of hours will often have you back to normal where as you will often wake up the next morning still drunk.
 
That's how I learned how to drive lol. I find I tend to drive more....civilized while I'm high. When I'm sober I think I'm speedy Gonzales :) But I agree being extremely baked and driving isn't such a good idea. Still a better one then drinking and driving though. When I'm that high and have to drive on highway I'll do like 10 miles under the speed limit. IMO marijuana is the safest "drug" ,that impairs you, to drive on.
 
Those cones are like half a meter tall; no wonder they backed into them; they're in a blindspot. What I learned from this video is that marijuana drivers are a danger to leprechauns.
 
I can say as long as i dont hit like 10 bongs im a better driver when high then sober.

i drive more carefully, have less road rage, dont get mad at shitty drivers etc etc.
