Cannabis + Heartbeats

What's happening to you is normal, and not a cause for alarm. It happens to me, and quite a few people I know. The last time I was in Amsterdam, I bought some space cakes, which had handy directions on them about racing heart issues, as well as others. If you smoke and find yourself to have tachycardia, (rapid heart rate) it is a good idea to eat some sugar. For some reason, this helps... When I first read this on the space-cake baggie, I thought it was silly, or maybe had something to do with getting the munchies... But this was a couple of years ago, and ever since then, whenever I get *tachy* I'll have a piece of candy, or a soda, even. It seems to help- strange, but true! The best thing is not to let it get the best of you- getting nervous about it only makes it happen more. Just grab a candy bar, or your fave non-diet soda or fruit drink. It will help:)

Funny... I'm glad you posted this!

I have often eaten because it takes my mind off of the cannabis-induced tachycardia or other panic symptom. I will try to focus on sugary candy next time it happens, though, to see how this works!

Try to smoke a little bit here and there, don't smoke an entire blunt to yourself and get so high that you start to get a little paranoid.

Pack a bowl, take a hit or two, wait a little, and then take another rip till you're good and baked.

Sativas will tend to cause paranoia when you smoke too much.

Like someone said you must be getting anxiety attacks. When this happens just remember weed has never killed anyone and it's normal for your heart rate to speed up while on weed. Maybe try adding a beer or a shot of hard liquor to the picture?

Ha ha... I know, I wish I had saved the package;) But yeah, it does help! That, and sweets are AWESOME.
:O)

this still kind of happens to me. when i first smoked i didn't have this problem. after some anxiety caused by some E use when i smoked weed i couldn't stop focusing on my heartbeat and felt it was racing, but i didn't know if my perception was right because of time slowing. i finally got over my anxiety through a long story, but now when i smoke i hardly notice my heart beat and it's fun times!

heartbeat was a constant annoyance for me with weed til i lost a bunch of weight and stopped being annoyed about my general health. i can still feel it occasionally, but it no longer bothers me at all, i know itll be fine coz it only races when it has a good reason to.
