Cannabis Cup 2009 Any Advice!?

Just been researching and man I wana go!!! Has anybody been their? I went to amsterdam before 9/11 and it was awsome, yet I never went for the cup. If I can get up freak'n $1500 I'm their!! The packages with the judges pass and everything are like $1700, any advice on hotels and stuff near the cup? Man expensive eh?%)

You need to research online and forums to see what others have experienced. Not everyone gets to go to these things. I DO know, that you will find a huge range of hotel room pricing. And the pricing will be inflated for this event. So I suggest you make reservations really early. Also, you need to make sure you have passport info and all that shit you need to get out of the country together. Don't lax on ANY of this. You also might want to study up on local customs and rules/tolerances. Possibly even their slang speech so that you understand what's going on.

LOL!! Not saying that I"m goin... but I'm trying to save money to go!! I"m getting back a tax return, so if I pay off half of my credit card bill, I can rack up the plane ticket/hotel on the card. Take less than a grand in cash and be on my way.. I really wana experience this before all my friends get married or if I do... LOL.. no way!! Plus I have 2 other friends that wana go with me and are serious... So I thought why not ask on Bluelight to see... Yea man.. The prices do range quite a bit, so thats what I've been doin... research and more research!!! Peace and Pot!! If anybody has prior experience or recommendations that are genuine please post a recommendation.... I really wana go...
 
when i was in freshman year of highschool a bunch of people in my grade told me they were all gonna chip in & send me to the cannabis cup 2 be a judge when we were done with highschool. =P i thought that was sweet but at the time i just liked heroin so much better. So Back to the cannabis cup, have fun & smoke your face out! Be a complete pot snob & dont waste time on mids and shit.

How does one go about entering a true bred strain into the cannabis cup?
 
I'd love to, I just don't know how anyone could judge all the strains by anything other than flavor unless they had a whole day devoted to each strain. Your first highs are always going to be the best. Sheez, I'd still need a very powerful stim just not to pass out, even if I was just taking a few good hits of all these 20-30% THC samples.

It sounds like a fucking great time, I knew a few friends who wanted us to go our freshman year of college. I just didn't have the money, couldn't skip exams, and couldn't tell mom "Hey, I'm going to Amsterdam!" I had to swear over and over to my friends that my parents wouldn't believe Anne Frank House and was my reason. None of us ended up going.
 
Once I get the money I'm fuckin goin. Either that or take a trip to nepal and smoke hash all day at one of the Buddhist temples
 
Sucks you went so fast from Cannabis to Heroin bro, but hey, to each his own. I personally like Oxy, yet thats the farthest I will go. I"m sure heroin is way better, but how can it really be though.. I nod is a nod is a nod NO!? The whole needle thing scares me, plus a nice fat quality bag of Kush or Sour Diesel and a percocet is enough for me.... mabye 2 percocets, but still I just never felt a need for Heroin... :)

Of course you haven't felt a need for Heroin, becuase you've got a good pill supply. Wait till you're getting opiate sick cause you can't get a hold of your pills, then lets see if you move onto that diesel or not.
 
^ More like wait until your tolerance maxes to the point no RX will help, then its self explanatory since H = cheaper and more effective .
 
IMO amsterdam is chill for like 2 or 3 daze

i got my first concusion over there :!


theres a whole flat ass country called the netherlands with cool cities and small towns to visit, maastricht is in the south of holland
weed and hash are over priced there; but the city is a place where i would take my girl for a romantic weekend

theres some great amerikan western resturant near eindhoven
it used to cost 20 guilders to get in , all you can eat, all you can drink, you just gotta cook the food yourself


but then the euro came and now the netherlands is expensive and i cant afford a trip there, i could stay for free at my pops but fuck that


Imo rotterdam is the shit
 
How many days for $1700? Does that incl. airfare,hotel,taxes?? when I was going the judges pass cost $25 and went up every yr after (94-95-97)


BTW the `cup is going from coffeeshops to coffeshop that are in the contest.

You couldn't pay me to "do the cup" as its over hyped and boring, theres better times to visit. I try & go every spring and fall, my last visit was to see Trance Energy

Amsterdam sounds like a ton of fun, but for 1,700 bones... well, that would be a lot of herbs even in an inflated market!
 
don't get your hopes high.. i've known hardcore stoners that have gone to CC.. and they were very disappointed... save your cash and just get a normal vacation to the 'dam
