can someone give me some pointers?

i made a batch yesterday and everything came out fine, but can someone tell me how long it will stay fresh?

can i freeze it for a later date?

i guess were concerned about food safety

itll stay fresh as long as you keep it sealed in the fridge.

The best way to keep it is sealed in the freezer.

KEEP FROZEN AT ALL TIMES.
If kept frozen the butter will not go bad or lose any potency before you get around to using it.
The butter will melt quickly once it warms up.. so handle it quickly and keep it in the freezer as much as possible.
And that's it! Now go lick clean some utensils and enjoy your CannaButter.

Separate your butter before you use it.....getting rid of the milk solids that end up stealing your thc, increases potency greatly. Did you notice that gooey layer between the butter and the water after you cooled the solution? those are the milk solids. they are fatty and they can dissolve THC.
Just heat and skim off the white foam leaving the golden butterfat before you add the ganj and H20.
it is good indefinitely in the freezer, in the fridge you will want to use it within 2 weeks before it gets shot.
