well basically ive had a break from weed for a couple months now but i wana start smoking again however i recently found out that i might have something wrong with my heart due to heart murmour and palpitations. I have my echocadiogram and some other test coming up to see whether i do or not.

Anyway i dont wana have to wait like a month or two to find out and wana start blazing now but i was wondering if any of you know if it might be a bad idea as weed speeds the heart up.

Ask your doctor if you can, I'm sure he or she would know much better than us.

yeah i did ask him but i didnt rly understand him, he gave me some massive history lesson on skunk and drifted off to opium.

Weed increases the risk for heart attack by little. I think its like 2-5 fold which they attribute to the increase in heart rate and blood pressure.

But with a heart murmur who knows what effects may occur. Personally if I had a a slight murmur I'd still smoke, but that's just me.

What gradation were you diagnosed with? If its of the more severe type I would talk to another doctor and see what's up.

he didnt tell me about a graduation, like i said im still due for tests, iv only had electrochardiograms and blood tests so far.

Oh my bad I didn't see that part. Well in that case you should probably wait until you get the results just to be safe.

I would recommend getting a vaporizer. Since there is no countereffect produced by your lungs when inhaling vapour, your heart rate drastically decreases compared to straight smoking.

^^^^ that would probably be the best thing, if you must use before your tests. also making cannabis brownies would be better than smoking i'd imagine

Sorry, but this is not true. THC, without a tolerance, speeds the heart rate, regardless of the method of ingestion. After a tolerance builds, the increase of the heart rate drops each use. Technically, a vaporizer gets more THC than cannabinoids, so, cannabinoids depress the cardiovascular system slightly, and THC causes an increase in speed. So, by using a vaporizer, you're essentially increasing the risk of a high pulse.

Take it from me, I have a very very life threatening heart disease. There is nobody on the internet, that without all of the necessary information, can tell you whether or not you can smoke. I have Marfan's Syndrome, and I was undecided on whether or not to smoke. For the first few times, I panic attacked and thought I was going to die, however, I fell asleep and was okay. Now that I have a tolerance, my heart rate is normal, and my blood pressure is decreased, which is a plus for my disease. Once again, only your doctor can give you the appropriate answer.

EDIT:
I'm really high so bare with me.

wait wait wait... uhh i have no fucking i dea what s going on right now?... ! ...?

The carbon monoxide that is created by burning weed also contributes to increased blood pressure. So don't dismiss the benefits of a vaporizer so quickly.

I find caffeine increases the heart rate more than weed does. Also nobody has ever been reported to die from weed, and thousands of user smoke with heart probelems. My grandpa smoked up to the day he died lol.

nobody has died from weed alone, but i'm sure there's a certain combination of factors that could lead to a fatality.

especially when we're talking about cardiovascular defects/diseases.
