I'm an American who is seriously considering moving to Canada after i graduate college. Ever since our government has rescheduled hydrocodone to a schedule 2, it's been hard as fuck trying to find a doctor prescribe me any kind of opiates other than codeine or tramadol. I'm 22. I also have never even had an MRI scan of my back, which i tell the doctors hurts.
A few questions for any Canadians with long term prescriptions to opiate pain medication.
What city/ town do you live in?
What are you prescribed? dosage and quantity?
What are your reasons for the medication? did you have to get an MRI or a scan before getting the medication?
How old are you?
Also another question for anyone: Can Canadian doctors get in trouble for "overprescribing", as in jail time or losing their right to practice?
Lastly if you have some interesting things to add about Canada in comparison to American opiate prescriptions, I'd be happy to hear what it is.
Thank you
