canadian mdma possesion charge

does anyone has any information regarding this charge?

i was caught with .5 g a night out a few weeks ago and have court soon.
can anyone tell me what im looking at? im here on a working visa and have no idea.
im worried i might be told to leave the country, so im thinking i might ask my legal aid at court to extend my court (will they do this?) date so i can afford a lawyer and delay the time to save (i am actually saving up for a lawyer).

am i just looking at a fine? or a conviction also, or even worse jail time.
