Another dumbass article about Ecstacy, the prices they quoted

"On Nov. 11, the Border Patrol stopped two vehicles in Fort Covington, N.Y., and seized about 58,000 pills, valued at about $2 million"

^those pills are 35 bucks a pop, where is the border patrol getting their numbers?

$2 to $5 is about right for US too depending on quantity. Article is just full of BS like usual. It wouldn't seem as exciting to say $75,000 worth of ecstasy (which it probably was).

no they're definitely right. they just demonize everything though. what is the real, true harm in "inappropriate" emotional bonding?
 
The production of a kilo of MDMA at a large Canadian lab costs roughly only $2,000. If 100mg is pressed the kilo will produce 10,000 pure pills at $0.20 a piece.

But the pills aren't usually pressed directly at the labs. The direct wholesalers who distribute into the U.S. will purchase in kilo quantities from the producers at roughly $5,000-$7,500 each and press the MDMA into pills at whatever dose they want. At this level on the chain, other shit isn't combined, the pills are still pure. Lets say for arguments sake that they actually do press the pills with 100mg MDMA. Thats $0.50-$0.75 that they are paying the producers. Usually they press less than 100mg MDMA these days to increase profit.

They will then pay people to distribute to the U.S. wholesalers who buy in either 10,000 or 1,000 pill quantities for anywhere from $2-$10 each (according to the 2007 NDIC) depending on the region and amount. This is where the pills are usually cut or combined with other shit. Although there are a rare amount of wholesalers who don't cut them down. Those in the U.S. who buy over 10,000 pills will also sell to other U.S. wholesalers who are labeled mid-level.

Retailers usually buy in 100 pill quantities and sell on the streets, clubs, etc. at whatever price they feel necessary.
 
I always hate crossing the border into the states. The Americans are always pricks and then the Canadians let just about anybody go through without any hassle.
