Can you use more paper to seal the filter end of a joint?

To explain, if i've rolled a joint but the paper at the filter end is a bit loose over the filter, can I use some label paper to wrap around the filter end to seal it up? I know I shouldn't use plastic but paper is ok isn't it? and it makes the filter end tight. Thanks for replies
