I have found it hard to get people to listen, but I just started trying. here is a conversation to put things into perspective.

Me:

new and not sure if my ? is ok.. Hello. I had been using dexidrine without a prescription, but not for recreational purposes. I had an experience that made me think it is possible that I have add. My fathers family has many instances of it. I planned to post my experience here, read the rules and don't think its appropriate for your forum. I hope I am wrong and assure you I am not looking for encouragement, just some insight. Please advise.. thanks. Quick Reply To Sender

QUOTE=Andrew. I'm not sure you'll get the responses you're hoping for, with that approach. You might post a question about what symptoms you have that make you think you have ADD...or, if you're not sure what they are...you might ask people what they experience with their ADD.

As an aside...just because you have an interesting reaction to a medication...that doesn't necessarily mean you have the condition in which the medication is normally prescribed for. QUOTE

What responses do you think I hope to get? My approach was to ask you if describing how I feel after taking something that others here take was ok? I guess you probably could be thinking I want to get an excuse to take dexidrine legally, but to assume that about me. I'm not sure how to finish that sentence so ill tell you that my intentions were to post my experience, to find out if anyone could relate. I guess I should have said I've been taking prescribed medication for three weeks and I had a strange experience, is this normal? But you know what? I just thought of that while I was thinking about how I could be an asshole to YOU! I would have never even thought of that! I mean it. I'd like to think I'm pretty smart but I don't think I would have come up with that on my own. So thank you. You have taught me a lot. If you reply with an apology, I may teach you a thing or two..

I couldn't write this alone. Thanks again Andrew.

Please read my strange reaction to dexidrine thread.

thanks.
