can you tell a lie better on cocaine than you can while soba?

Im not talking about other drugs but just cocaine.
Say your surrounded by a load of people and you needed to tel one big fat lie.
Would you lie better on cocaine? or would that just be stupid?
 
Arrogance has a tendency to exaggerate things. I can see this as possibly having such an effect...
 
If you get real confident on coke, that oculd possibly enable you to lie better. On the other hand, if you get jumpy and anxious, it may make it harder to lie. Depends on you I guess.
 
I totally agree that it helps you lie smoother. Perhaps it's because I don't have much self confidence normally, but when I'm coked up there are no problems just solutions! I turn into a wheeling-dealing fixit-guy, who is totally annoying and hated by everyone around him but doesn't notice it.
Maybe it just feels like everyone believes what you're saying, that would be my guess. But then again people tend to believe confident people, so you never know.
Suffice to say I don't do coke any more, it turns me into an instant asshole ;)

Any good stimulant, (ie any amphetamine, coke, etc.) will help you lie better. This is because stimulants, ESPECIALLY METH, make you feel confident, and when you say something to soeone and feel and look confident about it, then people are usually willing to go along with because it's hard to question. That is unless you're making up som bullshit far-fetched story. But the answer to your question is yes.

I couldn't lie better on something like cocaine.
My first problem with cocaine is always that everyone knows I'm messed up on something as soon as I open my mouth. I get too nervous and my voice sounds shaky and I talk too fast. It's beyond obvious.
 
Ya, usually people cant tell if someone's on coke or not, but if you know the person and know they're generally shy, then its more than obvious. I tweak a lot while i'm with my parents, and even tho i feel confident in eveything I'm saying, I still get the feelign my parents notice a difference.
 
it's an aside but i would argue that it's more obvious that somebody is on drugs than the person on drugs thinks it is.
put differently, you might think you are doing a great job of hiding the fact that you are high/whatever but you're not.
my point is a generalization so obviously it's crude and there might be lots of exceptions.
i have in the past done relatively small amounts of, say, coke, and my girlfriend has walked in the door and called me on it immediately.

Yeah but what about a lie detector? If u were guilty of somethin and had to take a test wouldn't the cocaine-induced rapid heart beat skew the results every time?
 
I don't really know much about lie detector tests, but I'd say no. Using cocaine before the test would raise your baseline heart rate. It should still go up higher when you lie. They don't test on how high it is, but instead how it changes during the test.
 
I find it easier to lie to just about everyone except for my best friend. He and I have blown a LOT of coke together (at one point nightly for 2 months) and we have a level of complete honesty where it gives me a nagging bad feeling even if I pretend to approve with something, but don't really.
 
Lying is not good. You shouldn't lie, nor put yourself in the position to where you would need to lie.
That said, no. I'm a fucking awful liar. Unless I think its funny, and am trying to convince people that, say, doing coke makes your skin fall off. I can't lie for self-preservation though, no matter what. If I'm dishonest with other people, how can I expect them to be honest with me? Its as simple as that.
 
Unfortunly I tend to be a better lier while on stims' which scares me cause I hate lying but it all flows so much easier.... sometimes the truth bites me in the ass tho, still no reason to lie.....
