Can you really tell the dif between MDMA & other mdxx's?

I've been told most users can't "tell" the difference between MDMA, mda, mdea, mda etc......

But many people on here seem to feel a distinct difference, and know exactly what they're consuming (which is wonderful!)....so, what's the deal?

I ask in part for the reason I've had batches of pills that have caused me severe panic, horrifying thoughts, emotional weakness, and intense visual distortions...and I've had (just last weekend) pills that provide beautiful, clear pleasure and lots of love (really amazing).

Theories? How can you tell the difference?

Well to me sounds like you got piped first and the ones you got last weekend were proper MDMA. These two substances are easy enough to tell the difference between, but its when you get into the mdxx it gets harder.
Generally MDA compared to MDMA will last longer with less loved-up-ness and more visual hallucinations. Although just cos you get visual hallucinations does not mean its MDA as a variety of pips can do this as well as high doses of MDMA.
Sorry i cant give any information on MDEA though :)
 
I can't really tell until afterwards. I get kinda caught up in the high, but after I sober up, I can analyze it and kinda figure out what I was on.. Unless it's pipes, I can figure that out soon as they go down the chute.

No thats a general misconception. Seeing that MDEA is actually harder to make than MDMA (or so ive heard) and is now where near as good, only a small amount of pills will actually contain MDEA as there is really no point in producing it.

How do you know that they are pipes? Just curious. I've been pipped a few times and I felt the come up like MDMA, but it never really fully came and I didn't feel the loved up feeling.. I felt like crap for 2 days afterwords though, worse then a hangover.

Pips and true MDMA are a world apart my friend ;)

The taste and the high. Your described the differences pretty well yourself. Some of the things that tell me if I ate a pipe: If I'm still "coming up" 2-3 hours after I ate the pill, if I get some shitty nausea (long-lasting, not like the 5mins from MDXX), the high "could be better", and I'm not really in that lovey-hug-everyone-fuck-yeah-mood. (easy to tell since I always roll with the gf) I get pretty antisocial and zoned out after eating pipes, too.

Actually my panicky/tragic thoughts pills were tested with a home kit- confirmed mdxx. :/ I've had this effect with specific pills.
I suspect I just respond very poorly to mda, or mdbd or something testing "clean" in those pills. I always wait atleast 4 weeks in between rolls as well.


I consumed pipes with my boyfriend (intending to take MDMA obviously), and after that crappy night, we vowed to only take tested pills and never trust our "connect".

Perhaps you did just react badly that one time, but are you sure it wasnt from one of those batches with just a tiny amount of MDxx in to throw off the test kits

I was just wondering because you said as soon as they go down the chute.. Just trying to pinpoint some kind of sign.

I can easily tell the difference between MDMA, MDA, and MDE. MDMA well... you all know the feeling if you've ever had molly or a clean pill. MDE is very similar to MDMA, but has a very "stoney" feeling, almost as if it's a downer and not an upper. There's still some stimulation there, but you're more likely just to be glued to the couch/bench/whatever you're sitting on. Greaaaaat close eyed visuals, no racing thoughts, not nearly as up and down emotionally as MDMA can be for me. The roll is very short too, about 2-3 hour peak, and you seem less out of it afterwards/the next day. I actually prefer it to MDMA. MDA, now that's the long, speedy, trippy roll (not to be confused with pipes, this will still have a very MDxx like feeling, less love but it's still there). Almost like the same body buzz as a roll (albeit slightly more stimulating), but the headspace is different. Almost closer to being on mushrooms (without any sort of mindfuck or enlightenment etc.) I've never dosed high enough to get the insane visuals with my eyes open that people talk about, but colors definitely got really cool and rings around lights were craaaaazy. To me, the comeup feels almost like I'm on adderall, but slightly different. I always get confused and wonder if there's amphetamine in my pill, and it's probably the most anxious come-up wise of the three MDxx. I find this more euphoric than MDMA also. Blue Swords that went around last summer had them in it, I couldnt find the report anywhere, but I just knew it. Just weeks ago I saw them confirmed MDA on pillreports, and jumped up and yelled "I TOLD YA SO" to my friends.
 
Get your self a test kit so you know what your getting. Testing your pills will let you know if your getting any MDxx substance. Best $50 investment I made. Safty first!!
 
If you do enough MDMA then your doing MDA.

After about .7g of high quality crystal over an evening by 5.30 i wound up plastered to a sofa unable to really move and witnessed some of the most insane visuals...that was the MDA kicking in im pretty sure, the visuals are very clear and very real and absolutely awesome
 
I find it pretty easy to distinguish MDMA from MDA. Not sure if I've ever tried MDEA though.

MDA has more of a speedy feeling, and less of a loved-up feeling. You also get more visual hallucinations on MDA.
 
By knowing exactly what your looking for and a little expirience you will be able to tell the difference. MDMA and MDA are easy for most to tell apart. And as far as MDEA I think sliff is right. Its pretty rare to come across a pill.
