Can you make poppy pod 'tea' using fresh juice in place of water?

Could that work? The intention is to make it then cool it down and drink at a later date, cold.

Absolutely.
I generally can't stomach warm/hot beverages.

I've made proper 'tea' to no effect (except nausea, which opiates don't give me :p )
I recall the last time I had pods (several years ago) I made some sort of grapefruit-poppy beverage. Seemed to do the trick well enough.

... but then, not wanting to waste my ground-up pods (since the beverage didn't do nearly enough for me), I started mixing up the used poppy-mash with various foods ... bran muffins, stuffing mix, sprinkle some on my cream cheese bagel ...
Might sound unorthodox / horrible, but actually, it tasted quite organic / didn't 'taste' at all .. and wow, never knew poppies could be so good; knocked my tea out of the water.

Why I haven't tried this again is a mystery.
